Faresaver Buses

The delays in Chippenham are getting worse unfortunately. It has taken up to an hour to get from the top of New Rd into the Bus Stn and this is impacting on all services. We are attempting to operate all trips but there will be delays of up to an hour on less regular services.

Traffic is very heavy again today coming into Chippenham along Bath Rd and New Rd. We are experiencing delays on all services departing Chippenham of up to 20 minutes. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Marshfield Road in Chippenham is closed again today to continue with resurfacing. Services will operate into Chippenham along normal routes. However X31, x33, 35, 91 and 635 routes will not serve the Town Bridge and Rail Stn stops until 1530 today. Passengers are advised to use Gladstone Rd or Bus Stn during this period.

The 11:00 service 33 from Devizes has been compromised due to an incident. This may cause some delays to the service

Marshfield Road now open.

Marshfield Rd is scheduled to reopen at 1600. All services will revert to normal routes once reopened.

We are continuing to experience delays on services around Chippenham due to the Marshfield Road closure. Bath Road is still very heavy traffic taking 30 minutes from Pheasant to Bridge Centre. We apologise for the delays being experienced and thank all our passengers for being so understanding regarding the delays. The road is scheduled to be open on Saturday but closed again on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so please do allow extra time for your journey.

1115 update. Traffic continuing to build up along Bath Rd into town centre. Currently taking 45 minutes from Pheasant to Bridge Centre. Also New Rd very heavy.
Until further notice the 33, 35, 91, 635 and X31s will not serve town bridge and railway station stops as it is currently taking 30 minutes to operate from Bridge Centre to Railway Stn and back and this is compromising the rest of the route. We ask passengers to use the Bus Stn for these services. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Heavy traffic building up once again in the centre of Chippenham this morning. Bath Rd into town particularly heavy along with New Road/Town Bridge area. Delays of up to 30 minutes on many services.

1330 update. Continuing to experience major delays in Chippenham due to Marshfield Road closure. Delays of up to 45 minutes to all services around Chippenham. X31, X33, X34, 35, 44, 91 services all affected. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

There is very heavy traffic around Chippenham this morning. In particular coming into town along Bath Road from Sainsbury’s to the Bridge Centre is currently taking approximately 30 minutes. This is impacting on all services in the area at the moment. New Road has reopened this morning and so traffic is able to access the town centre via Park Lane, New Road although traffic is also heavy here too.

We are experiencing heavy traffic in Chippenham this morning as Marshfield Rd has now closed for resurfacing. All services are operating but with delays of up to 15 minutes. We anticipate congestion should ease once New Rd traffic able to access Ivy Lane from around 1100.

The resurfacing of New Road, Chippenham is scheduled to be completed tonight. Work will then commence on Marshfield Road from 0900 tomorrow (Thursday 9th). This will be the final section of the resurfacing works which will affect a number of services until next Wednesday (15th August).
