Very busy saturday afternoon - wish I had got name of our waiter, a young man with blonde hair and he was wearing a bead bracelet, he was fab, very smiley,friendly and efficient, our family of 4 had a lovely afternoon and the food was yummy. We cant wait to go again it was such a nice experience x

I’ve been here a few times now each time it’s had lovely food. Can not fault it. A proper family place. During our last visit my son had an accident where he ran into a branch which in fairness could of happened any where and to my sons own admittance wasn’t looking where he was going. The staff and customers couldn’t of helped enough. They were brilliant. They made my son laugh even through the pain. Got everything from the first aid box. Literally dropped everything to help us. So after a bit of glue and butterfly stitches he’s right as rain. I wanted to say a massive thank you and tell you we are soo grateful.

Booked a table for 28 people for my daughters 21st birthday last night. We were advised they couldn't put us all on one table but we would all be together on 3 tables. When we arrived we were seated exactly as they had been explained and were allowed to decorate the tables. We ordered food by the table and didn't have to wait long for our food. Portion sizes were good especially as meals were 2 for 1. Although they had said all the meals might not be brought out together due to the number of people they were all pretty much brought out together with no problems at all. Couldn't fault the service staff were great. Food was lovely no complaints at all. Will definitely be returning. Thank you all for a lovely evening

9 of us went for an afternoon birthday lunch and couldn't have been better The food was marvellous and hot There was a 2 for 1 offer on and free refillable coke/lemonade/tango for those of us driving. We stayed a good few hours and the atmosphere was very pleasant couldn't be faulted 😋

My partner and I visited farmer johns tonight after a lovely trip to cinema. At the start the service was good and quick. Then when the food came was no complaints there. However after she cleared our plates we were never asked if we wanted to order a pudding. Nobody ever came back to our table to ask if we wanted anything else. After ages of waiting in end I went and asked for the bill. It's like we had been forgotten about.

my mom an muself are regulars at farmer johns, and although meals are ok, the last couple of times meals have been lukewarm, hence by the time your halfway through the meal is then cold, so we tend not to eat it all, staff are always polite though x

We went for a meal there 13th Feb was no mixed grill there wasn't anything I really normally have when picked food was given the option if to have chips or jacket potato my husband said wouldn't go again he won't complain as just thinks it don't change anything

There were good points and bad points to our meal. 1st was the door man found us a table then when asked did we need to order at bar he said no this waitress will come take your order.. no name, no name tag, not even given a name by lady herself. Who was polite in taking our order. It was busy sunday about 2ish. Our meals came together our drinks came well before our meal. My sons pizza base was hard that I had to cut it up he left ½. My chicken tikka masala had 5 small piece of chicken and bit watery,lovely naan bread and poppadom. My partner was happy with his burger and chips just not much coleslaw for his liking. Pudding was ice cream which you can't really go wrong with.

Went last night for a meal with my mom, glad we booked a table as was busy but unfortunately the service was poor. The girl serving was friendly but just busy and a bit forgetful. Took ages for drink order and then when arrived the Prosecco was flat but they did change. Then the food order took forever she did apologise when she realised. Then food never arrived people who ordered after came before so we checked and then it was brought out, had obviously been standing it was ok but not as nice as could have been.

Then when bill arrived had charged for a 200 ml bottle of Prosecco when all Mom had was a glass. Unfortunately wouldn’t return.

We picked this pub to try out as a family of 3 on a sunny Monday evening. We was very disappointed with the food and the service. We paid extra for some burger chips which were stone cold and had more mushrooms than anything else on top. These were suppose to be served with a dip but wasn't. We also ordered a chilli chicken meal which was suppose to have sour cream but as you guessed it didn't. The peppercorn sauce was like water. My daughter's meal was barely warm. The waitress who served us spent most of her time chatting with one particular table. It almost felt like they did not like new customers to interupt them. When walking out I let the waitress know we was un happy and she said we should have said. This would have been an option if she came to our table as much as she was around the regulars table. She didn't seem bothered that we were unhappy and did not mind us leaving a review. She even told me how to go about it. Good luck if you are not a regular to this pub. The manager was present on this day and also was only seen making drinks for this one table. The pub was not busy in the slightest maybe this is why.

Waited for a table not too long which was good. Waiting for the food to come was a joke the waitress ain't got much clue as to what is going on set the table for only half of us, ordered a side that never came which is terrible to say it was only a potion of beans. Had to wait ages for the table to be cleared and ask to order deserts!!

Very disappointed, only one member of staff serving a whole area. No one served us until we finally asked if anyone was ever going to.

The waitress smelled terrible of BO and food was average to say the least

Very disappointed, firstly I was coleslaw missing on my meal, then I ordered a double gin and tonic which came in a tumbler, I asked for a gin glass bit was told they had none. Then we both orders a cocktail which they came in a thick Pepsi glass, when you pay £7 for gin and £8 for cocktails you expect the right glasses. I asked for manager and he said I drank them so that's it, just took £1.50 off for missing coleslaw, I said I wouldn't be returning and he said ok!!!

Nice beer garden. Waited 45 mins for kids mains which came before their starter! Then had to wait over an hour to get desserts, again having to remind staff 3 times of the order. It wasn’t even busy. Would not recommend.

Had a family meal last night ( 31/7/17 ) me and my wife both ordered a steak mine was very fatty and only managed a small amount of it as my napkin had more than I did. My wife said hers wasn't the best either. My son had a burger with chips hanging from the burger bun was a dark hair !!! Don't think I will be in a hurry back. Should of said something but we didn't.

40 minute wait for nachos and soup. Soup was watery and tasteless. Thought I'd persevere without complaining. Then our 6 main meals arrived. They looked like prison food. Basic meals looked awful and actually tasted bad. At this point we complained in a polite manner and got 20% off. We won't be eating there again. Staff were generally nice but a bit frosty when we said the food was poor - they're just below par compared to just about every pub we've eaten at in the area.

Went for a birthday party, only 14 of us but service was extremely slow, so much so that by the time rhe last two plates arrived (well overdone since they had been warming for so long) the first people had finished Food had been cooked and held for a long time since the plates were red hot but the food was tepid at best. Pretty basic menu so should be easy to make the food tasty but it was pretty tasteless apart from being cold. Much better places around to spend your time and hard earned.

Service was rubbish. 6 eating and 2 meals misted off. Drinks took ages to come and we asked 3 times. Waiter asked 2 of use if we want drinks but didnt ask anyone else on our table. Ask for red and brown sauce 3 or 4 times eaten half our meals before it came. No one asked if we wanted dessert so we thought stuff them. We had to go find some one so we could pay the bill. I wouldnt rush back.

Service was good from the server . Very nice lad . Food was terrible, dry and bland . To save face for the restaurant I asked the server to pop out side so I could tell him my feedback . He went away to tell manager when he came outside (the manager) to discuss the matter with myself and partner his attitude was unbelievable. When I explained that the food I attempted to eat was not to scratch he became very offensive offering 20% of the bill . Explaining that only 1 meal was eaten . A discount of 20% off the 1 meal would of been fair enough. But no it didn’t go like that . He said I’ve already took the price of your meal off the price .

Well it wasn’t eaten . !!!! So why should I have to pay full price for the one meal that was eaten . When I offered 20% off the 1 meal eaten . I was barred for life lol . And when I said I will put this on Facebook , his words were , it’s illegal to lie on social media. What a joke . As long as he is still manager my partner and I will never go back ....
