Went today 5/8/2018 for lunch. Everything was perfect. The carvery was beautiful and piping hot. We had crispy chicken which was delicious. Service was amazing. Can I just say one of the waitresses actually went over to help a gentleman who was having difficulty carrying his plate. She wasn't prompted to do this. Well done on an all round very pleasant visit. Will be back

I've been here a few times with the kids and I like it. Yes, it's not a 5 star gourmet experience. It a a pub which serves pub food at reasonable prices. The waiting times are generally short and the staff are friendly and great with the kids. The grounds are beautiful and the pub has a relaxed atmosphere. We enjoy going and will be back over the summer ’┐Į

Went for lunch with my daughter as we have many times before, my 11 year old grandson was with us, upon entering stating table for 3, we were ushered away from the main room to a small room on the other side of the building, and were asked to sit in an empty room. I said I didn't want to be left here and asked to be seated in the main dining area where plenty of tables were free, we were told if you have a child you cant go in the main dining area. Absolutely disgusting discrimination.

I pointed out my grandson is 11 years old and well behaved but they were having none of it.

Never will our money be spent here with discriminatory rules in force.

Im sure its illegal to be honest

I have been here many times in the past but not since the refurbishment however me and my partner went at the weekend ... we ordered a sharer platter to start ... I was immediately put off ... I bit into a chicken bite to find it was still frozen ... after this my main came ... I ordered a steak to be cooked medium to rare ... the steak arrived and to say it was well done was an over statement ... i sent it back and 10 minutes later my partner had finished his meal and I was still waiting ... when a new steak did arrive it was disgraceful ... it was impossible to eat every bite left me with a mouth full of tough fat .. It was the worst meal I have ever had ... it saddens me to say this as I have been a customer here for a long time and used to take my daughter frequently but the standards have dramatically slipped since change of hands ... the staff have always been very friendly however I am extremely disappointed in the food
