We come practically every day for a carvery (no word of a lie �) and the staff and food are fantastic. Louise in particular is very helpful! Great stuff, keep up the good work! Xx

Really very nice.. Will return to try the carvery. We had the sharing platter and lamb shanks for main.. Portion sizes are great an good value.

Nice chose of wine and the cakes looked amazing though we were to full to try. Have recently been to 1884 tapas not a patch on Wingfield.. Well done.. 10/10from us �

First time visiting this evening, we were really pleased, carvery is lovely, everything cooked perfectly, also lovely and hot too, great range of meats, loads of veg to choose from and the puddings are to die for!... friendly helpful staff...will be our regular place to eat from now on!...

Came last wednesday with my work and have to say it was amazing the service from super sue was fab she looked after us very well carvery great plenty of choice puddings massive xx thank u for great service

Came in today for sunday lunch with my son and his wife and my grandchildren . We had the cavery which was very nice the staff were lovely especially the young girl emma with long blonde hair she was really busy she asked us if everything was ok with our food and even offered to show our young grandchildren the play area which they were very happy with . She then told us about the lovely deserts we could have and could even take them away with us if we couldnt manage to eat them all .so a big thankyou to emma for been so nice she is a credit to your company .Will definitely be coning back soon .....

Amazing food and great service even though it was very busy food came very quick and still very hot when served, many thanks to Emily our waitress who made the experience all that much more friendly.

Went with my daughter and granddaughter, excellent carvery and good choice of meats and vegetables. Only concern was several plug sockets in children's play area did not have child protectors in place

We went on Sunday night for tea my daughter had a carvery and I had the fish supper the food was lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly certainly will be going again that was our first time

We popped in and enjoyed a very nice all day breakfast. The food was very nice but my only critiqued was we asked for a pot of tea for two; the teapot was tiny and the cups enormous! There wasn’t enough for one let alone two and so weak! Other than that an enjoyable experience

Went for a meal with parents. My mum (not my self) was asked is she younger than 12. Found it rude as I am 20 and do not look like a 12 year old. And didn’t the fact that I wasn’t asked and was referred to as she.



Chaos when ordering the food. Out of the ploughman’s and chicken salad. But the bar staff seemed very stressed as the waters head was all over the place making mistakes.

Giving wrong drinks and unsure of stock.



However the food came fast and it was lovely enjoyed the ploughman’s burger and facility were clean.

Have been a few times now and it’s always been lovely, however, last night the carvery wasn’t up to the usual standard and was looking forward to it after a long day, but I take my hat off to Emma whose customer service was excellent. You can forgive the odd blip with food if you know it’s been good before, plus it’s been a bad time for farming potatoes, but its the customer service that makes it. Thanks again Emma �

Well what can I say about tonight’s service was absolutely shocking busiest tea time time waiting in a que for 15 mins to order a carvery 1 person taking orders n nearly 4 long ques then my daughter got her plate that was given to her not even warned it was hot I even burnt my hands on it surprised she didn’t drop it she’s 7 the utensils for the veg were scolding hot barley being able to hold them think some more thinking needs to go into this place

We went here as a family last night to celebrate my birthday.The lady that took us to a table never smiled once we ordered off the menu the food was ok chicken that my daughter had was very dry .We choose was place because it says there is play area for children my grandson is nearly 4 they have one wooden truck for him to play and and everything else had to be paid for .Would not recommend this place and will not return .

Went for tea on Saturday night to celebrate fathers day with my dad. Both my partner and sister have now come down with food poisoning after having chicken fillets in their meals. Both really poorly and can only be from that as they ate the same meal and have now started vomiting and diarrhoea around the same time.

Visited today with the family for my mums birthday, we decided to go for a meal from the menu as we witnessed a number of people taking back plates and items to the carvery. Our starters arrived with most main meals, the main meal for my mum was a lamb shank which was stone cold inside, approached the manager and informed him who said “I’ll get to you when I can “ no apologies or empathy what so ever! He then sent a member of staff over to collect the food, this was brought back after just been put in a microwave and totally over heated which made the lamb non edible and very difficult to even get off the bone. Absolutely dissatisfied with this visit, I have noticed a few disappointing reviews on this page, as a company you should be acknowledging and learning from your complaints not turning a blind eye!

Visited today with 2 of my daughters and a friend, ordered 3 carveries and a burger meal, desserts and drinks. After collecting our carveries and begining to eat a waitress came and leaned over my daughters plate to tell us the burger meal we ordered wasnt available til mid june! We said that was fine but could we have chicken and salad from the salad bar instead, what followed was no less than 5 people coming to our table to sort this out all while our carvaries went freezing cold even the manager came over to sort stuff while we had meals infront of us. Would have prefered " eat your meals and we can sort this afterwards". The person who cleared our table could clearly see we had eaten nothing yet said "did you enjoy" I told him no and can you not see we have eaten nothing. Oh im sorry! He said as he walked off. So i have paid just under £80 and drove 45min to come home hungry! So disappointed.

Family meal to celebrate mam’s 70th birthday and visited a couple of venues to decide which we thought would be the best option. Decided on Wingfield Farm after visiting it and looking around and booked a table for 14. We agreed on a certain area of the restaurant with the table numbers noted down on our booking.



We were disappointed when we got there to find that the tables were not laid out in to some sort of arrangement for our party of 14 with other guests sitting at some of the tables nearby were I expected some of the area to be sectioned off from our visit, when we were researching places.



None of this was made clear to us at the time of booking and seemed a little disorganised. They did move us in to another area but it was all a little bit rushed with the revised tables not really condusive for a family get together on a special day for our mam on her 70th.



She was very disappointed and upset at the way the night went and whilst the food was nice and i could criticise the fact that the food didnt really come out at the same time or no little touches or gestures were made for a special evening, i think the overiding point is the organisation and so given our experience i wont be coming back, certaintly not for a family get together.

Came here for breakfast. Wish I had not bothered. At £6.99 you would imagine to leave full and satisfied. Well, you would be wrong. Ultimate breakfast, more like ultimate rip off.

So here goes the list (and it's long)

No water for tea

No bread for toast

No milk

No coffee

Bacon so tough you could re sole your shoes with it

Sausages burnt

No sauces, who doesn't like a bit of red on their bacon butties!

The poor member of staff was so harassed trying to do her best and please everyone. She was a star.

So, all round a very poor experience. Ended up having to go and spend more money elsewhere. ���

Burnt chicken with no apology. The fact that peppercorn sauce was put on to try cover the burnt area of the chicken annoyed me as this shows they knew about it they just chose to ignore it. Rubbish service. Asked for sauce for my daughters meal which was never brought to the table either. Manners cost nothing.
