Farrer'S Bar & Brasserie

Barn of a place, already tired despite its recent makeover, with little atmosphere and no views. Unless you're sitting outside, that is. Arrived to find a dirty table and asked the waiting person to clean it. "Fine" was the response, not said in a good way. Food and drink unexceptional. Sadly, another example of public sector outsourcing gone wrong. Try the Clock Cafe nearby instead with an honest bill of fare and a better view.

Fantastic fish and chips with parking right outside

I visited here a lot at one time but had not been in for awhile . I couldn't believe it, the table was sticky, the food mediocre and overpriced , the girl at the counter was more then rude and really needs a how to be polite to customers course. There's lots of good cafes in Scarborough, give this place a miss and go somewhere else.

We ordered tea and when it came the waitress dropped the biscuit that came with it on the floor. She didn't apologise and said 'I've dropped your biscuit' and walked away. The staff need some serious training in customer service.

Forming part of the Spa Complex it has an air of grandeur, this is a great location with a sea view and most of south bay and the harbour. We have eaten here a few times and the food has always been excellent.

Farrers bar has fantastic friendly staff great food and drinks always spotless & of course in a unique & awesome location, however being dog friendly"' my family & friends including myself have decided not to come here anymore, while enjoying a meal or chilling with a beer on Monday evening while watching some great live music, I am here now while composing this there are wet dogs running amok yelping and barking enough is enough David Mackenzie

Enjoyed a lovely meal and a relaxing drink

We were expecting the usual cafe fare but the quality of the food surprised all of us. A little bit of care and attention applied boosts this from a quick stop to a brunch location. well worth a visit

Nice bar in a great location. Sitting in the bar watching the massive waves crash against the promenade with a pint is great. The bar room is large, very clean and very modern and the staff are friendly and helpful.
