England have book their place in the Semi-Finals of the World Cup for the first time since 1990 after beating Sweden 2-0 on Friday! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⚽️
This Wednesday 11th July, England will face Croatia to try and reach the World Cup final.. The last and only time England reached a World Cup Final is in 1966 - and we all know how that finished! 👀🏆
The Buddha will have it LIVE on our big screens, with the match kicking off at 7pm.

Well Tuesday nights game was slightly tense vs Colombia, but the three lions managed to keep their cool and come out on top!🙌🏼⚽️

Went for a family meal last Saturday in January. We ate from the 2 for £15 menu which had a good choice. Big portions and really tasty - chilli prawns were succulent and spicy and my Katsu curry was delish...I couldn’t finish it all.

Cocktails were fab - great choice and service was spot on - even though the restaurant and bar were full.

Ended the night in the bar with some great music from the DJ enhanced by live saxophonist. Highly recommend

Well done to girls working today excellent service. Took my mam and daughter for lunch the table behind us had balloon my little girl got upset wanting it, girls on service took upon themselves to fetch my little girl balloon over. This made her day!! Thank you for making us feel welcome and valued customers. Great food to top off it!! ��

We visited Durham fat Buddha last Sunday and It was beautiful! The food was amazing. Couldn’t fault it. The staff were lovely and spent extra time talking to my 4 year old. After a recent disappointment at Newcastle fat Buddha we are so glad we went back to Durham! Durham is a million times better than Newcastle! Thanks to bob and his team at Durham! �

Was here yesterday, Saturday 7th April 2018. All I can say is amazing. Staff couldn’t do enough for you, cocktails beautiful (if a little expensive) but the food ..... OMG, out of this world. Honey chilli chicken and satay sauce �� I cant wait to go back �

Had a fabulous surprise “special” birthday from the girls in my family. From start to finish, making cocktails, eating, laughing, dancing the staff were spot on. Definitely recommend

Food and service great, excellent value for the quality, special mention to the guy(sorry didn’t get his name) who ran after us down to the car park as we forgot our little boys special monkey. Great service he would of been heartbroken if we lost it. Can’t thank you enough.

Food always been spot on! Been here on a few occasions. Always hot delicious food and my fav cocktail is the fat Buddha (alcoholic one of course) love how they offer mocktails as well. Gutted that my favourite soup the curried chicken ball one has gone from menu but always plenty to choose from as an alternative

Fantastic food and outstanding service last night, we were in a booth upstairs and our waiter (male, don’t recall name sorry) was FABULOUS and couldn’t do enough for us! Made our visit to Buddha even more enjoyable! 4 mams having a well deserved catch up. Live band was a nice touch, a tad loud for diners having food, but didn’t spoil our evening. We were a bit gutted that there were no passion fruit to go into our Fat Buddha cocktails, but our waiter give us a giggle with the little duck in our drinks and his fantastic customer service skills! We’ll see you again soon and hopefully will receive the same service as last night

Amazing delicious food- amazing service from all of the staff & one lady particularly, beautiful with short brown hair didn't catch her name but she was so lovely and was amazing to accommodate me, my baby and my friends, thank you so much

Wev'e been to FB's about twice in 5 or 6 years & found it pretty good. We went with some friends before we went to a concert at the cathedral a couple of weeks ago. I looked at the prices & thought, 'won't get much even at those prices' so we ordered extra sides. Wish we hadn't cos I was pogged out & had to waddle to the concert.

Food was very good (& plenty of it) & we had fast, attentive service too.

Have a table booked for 27th Jan so we'll see what happens.

Decent food and staff but check your bill they add a service charge that they don’t tell you about until you ask and then they say you don’t need to pay the service charge but overall a good atmosphere and great food x

Used to come all the time as the food was amazing when it first opened...the service was never that good compared to other restaurants we eat in.

Been twice in the last few weeks ....... the food was ok the service no better at all maybe worse than ever wouldn’t rush back

Food is great but this place is more like a bar for pissed people and that was 6pm it was loud you can't have a conversation. I doubt I will go again because of this as when I'm out having a meal I don't want to hear hen and stag screaming their heads off.

Visited this restaurant yesterday 17th June before going to the theatre. Our order was taken and drinks supplied fairly quickly. However, when the main dishes arrived we had ordered 3 different chicken dishes all of which were virtually inedible because the chicken was so tough. I did complain but was informed there was no senior member of staff to help me. As we had to leave I thought someone would have taken my details for contact, but no !

Took my eldest for her birthday tea last night (NYE) and was bitterly disappointed with what we received - from kids menus - chicken fried rice - was literally chicken and rice - no sauce and looked so plain, bland and unappetizing. Then size of the bowl of my vermicelli for £12. 50 was disgusting - it was more like the size of a starter than an main meal. Then £6 for 2 soft drinks - will NOT be going back. Definitely much better places to spend £30 on a meal for 3.

Rip off! Been twice in 2 weeks on a Saturday night. Promised on both occasions £5 cocktails from the promoters outside, get inside and it's only on a Friday! The barman when i mentioned the cocktails wasn't polite! Then he short changes my friend of £5. Won't be back!

Me and my partner ordered Singapore vermicelli noodles each but one was requested without prawns, we tried to explain to the young girl that served us that one of them was without prawns, which she seemed to not understand. We tried to explain to her multiple times that one of the noodles was without prawns and she offered us a vegetarian option. I explained to her again and I said to her “I just want the normal noodles but without prawns” and that was it. We thought she understood to what I was saying as we had explained to her on numerous times so we thought she actually knew what we wanted. So we waited for our food to arrive, which it did and she presented us to them as one vegetarian and one without prawns. I looked at my partner when she said this and we immediately knew the order was wrong. There was no members of staff about as they were all stood in the bar chatting. My partner went up to the bar and explained the situation and the girl came back, took my plate and verified what I wanted. So I told her, I just wanted it normal but without prawns, which again she seemed to understood what I had said. After a few minutes of waiting she comes back with my plate and I knew straight away that there was prawns in the noodles. As this point I was fed up with trying to explain what I wanted and I just removed the prawns myself. Again, me and my partner were wanting to order more drinks but there was actually no staff on show to do this so he went to the bar again until there was actually someone who could serve him. We had no further problems up until we had received our bill. We noticed that the price was a little too high so I checked the receipt and saw that we had been charged for 3 portions of noodles (2 normal vermicelli and 1 vegetarian). I approached a young lady who was very polite about the whole situation and got it sorted for us, which by the way was the only staff member that was happy (blonde short hair). Then another young lady came over with the card machine and was not happy at all. Her attitude around us made us feel uncomfortable as she wasn’t very positive and was very miserable. The food was nice overall just the whole not listening to what I actually wanted for then to receive my order wrong to get charged extra and lacking off staff was also a massive let down.

Not the best .too busy for the amount of staff. They were doing their best . Wrong order sticky table . Over priced food .. won’t go again .

Me and my friend had a dinner on Tuesday afternoon (5ish) and we were disappointed. The service was very bad, we actually needed to look for them to order something or to simply get plates, because the staff were really inattentive while chatting together at the bar. Also food was not as good as we expected. I seemed that products, especially prawns, were not fresh as there was little taste if eaten not with sauce. For the price and nice environment of the restaurant itself, the food and the staff were disappointing.
