Favourite Beers

A great shop with a wide and varied selection of beers, ciders, perrys and mead. Always friendly service. It's my go to place for Christmas, birthdays or if I just fancy treating myself.

What a surprising find! These people are passionate about beer and really know their stuff. The shop has an astonishing selection of beers from all over the world with a range of flavours you won't believe until you try them. We enjoyed an enlightening evening there recently where we were taken through a selection of beers from light to dark. Heather beer, chocolatey beer, stouts, ales, porters, there really was something for all tastes - even for those who thought they didn't enjoy beer. Also a super range of cider and the under-loved but wonderful perry. Good prices and a lot of fun. You won't buy supermarket beer after visiting this shop.

Best beer shop for miles around, possibly in the country. Leigh is an excellent and knowledgeable beer guide (although never pushy) and Ruby is ace company. Getting on for 800ish beers/ciders, no filler at all. A good range of British, Continental and stuff from the USA. If you want to try something on the premises there are comfy sofas and an on-licence and Leigh often runs meet the brewer nights and such. Well worth a visit if you are within the vicinity.

Absolutely love this place. Wonderful choice of beer; great and friendly service from Leigh and Rosie, gorgeous shop dog Ruby who followed me around for pats whilst I browsed the amazing range of ales on offer...what more could you ask? I live in South Wales and don't get here as much as I'd like but every trip has been fantastic and some of the best beers I ever had were bought here. I'd also heartily recommend combining any visit with a trip to the SPAlehouse over the road; as I did on my last visit, fantastic draught choices for the thirsty consumer!

A connoisseur's paradise! (Or the ideal place to become a connoisseur, if you're a complete beginner.) An amazing collection of British and continental beers, craft cider and perry. I'd have been running around like a child in a sweet shop, but I was being tailed by the store detective (an extremely friendly golden retriever who had me under careful observation in case of treats or pettings). I'm not a local, but was welcomed like a regular and the service I received was friendly and knowledgeable. I'd go back to Cheltenham for this place alone.
