Why learning times tables is still relevant. Luckily we have the perfect method to help you learn them at FCL.

There are some interesting points made in this article - particularly relevant, I think, with our students is the reading and understanding. Across all subjects, students who do consistently well are those who truly absorb the material before tackling the answers.

I recently went to Giles Duley's exhibition ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giles_Duley ), where he described his five-year photographic project exploring the long-term effects of conflict globally. It struck me, not for the first time how fortunate we are to have access to education. One photo in particular drove this home to me - of Hassan, who is just 14, who is one of thousands of minors who make the perilous journey through Europe unaccompanied. Normally the family can’t afford for everybody to travel, or other family members are too weak or vulnerable. Hassan’s family were desperate for him to get an education and hoped that at least he would have a future.
Let's not waste opportunities that are there to be taken, right in front of us.

I truly believe that setting aside a little time every day with your youngster to read is setting them up with good educational habits for life. Read on for some great tips for how to make this happen.
