What We Do:
Our firefighters stand trained and ready to cope with a whole range of emergencies, not just fire. These include: road, rail or air crashes, floods, chemical spills and even terrorist attack.

Featherstone crew attending a community event at Nostell Priory this morning. Don’t forget fire crews undertake many other duties other than responding to emergencies. Community engagement and fire safety visits all form part of a Firefighters job role. Some photos sent in of Featherstone’s Crew fighting a large field fire in Havercroft Sunday evening.
Yesterday’s field fire at Fitzwilliam ended up effecting approximately 700m x 700m of crops which equates to 49 hectares. Featherstone crew also attended a further 3 deliberate field fires yesterday evening.
Featherstone’s appliance was 1st in attendance at today’s 11 pump field fire at Fitzwilliam. All crews works exceptionally hard and returned safe. Please take care with fires during this warm period.
