Billericay Breast Friends café is on today if you could do with a little extra support with breastfeeding.

It’s National Breastfeeding awareness week and Public Health England have created this short film with young mum Shannon (from TeenMomUK), telling her breastfeeding story with her son Theodore

Public Health England are doing a week to #celebratebreastfeeding. The theme this year is the benefits of skin to skin contact - which should begin as soon as baby is born and will help
💕 regulate baby’s heart rate, breathing & temperature... 💕calms & relaxes both mum & baby 💕stimulates digestion as well as interest in feeding (no matter your choice) 💕stimulates hormones which help to support breastfeeding & relationship building

Starting soon - if you are local and need some support with breastfeeding - this group is a dork in for you.

Don’t forget this group is running today at Basildon library - 11:30 till 13:30. They can offer support and information for you both as an expectant parent or new mum. A great chance to meet with other breastfeeding families and get that extra support if you need it
