Wow!!

A beautiful site....lots of great walks and wish we had brought our bikes...will do next time.

Friendly and helpful staff...site is well maintained..

Situated not far from city centre..peterborough.

Weve visited burghley house....which is well worth a visit and town centre shops are great...queensgate centre.

Would highly recommend this beautiful site.

Great to relax and enjoy the outdoors in all weathers....the walks around the lakes are all on pathways...so not muddy...

The cafe on the lake does fantastic food at reasonable prices.

User

We stayed here BH May & had a lovely weekend. Great weather helped but the site is well maintained, bathrooms cleaned regularly, plenty of hot water at all times of the day and the massive added bonus of a family bathroom for our little people (bath toys also supplied). We will be back, thank you xx

User

We stayed for the weekend in the West side, I found the staff to be very helpful the site and amenities are very clean. The lake is gorgeous this now my favourite site and will definitely be back before the end of the summer.

User

We met friends here with 8 boys in total and had a great day, would definitely return! They played football on the field for a while, had a picnic then got the little steam train to the other end. We got ice creams from the lakeside cafe and watched the boats for a while. Wish we had brought their swim shorts as other kids were paddling in the lake. It was a short walk back to the main car park where they played in another park which had water features. I’m sure there were other bits which we hadn’t had time to visit so will def return

User

We have been coming to this site for about six years and it never disappoints us .The wardens are friendly but and nothing is to much trouble. The toilets are warm in the winter months and are clean. The adjacent park is fantastic for doggy walkers. There is a steam train very close to the park but only runs at weekends in April and the visiting fish and chip and ice cream van is a bonus. The granary pub is only about half a mile up the road next to the golf course which says lovely meals at reasonable prices Will definitely be going back and would definitely recommend this site .

User

We are a season pitch holder and we love the site all staff are very helpful and friendly, both my girls love riding around on there bikes.

site is very safe as the staff do ask people to go the right way round and for the cars to slow down so the children are safe. We will be doing our season pitch again next year

User

Very clean. Lots to do. Wardens friendly. During our stay we had a power cut for a while. Wardens came round and checked if we was ok when it came back on . We come here twice a year .

User

Our first visit to the site. our longest trip so far of 3 nights and it's left me wanting to stay longer. the shop staff very friendly and couldnt be more helpful. The walks are really good and can be as short or as long as you want . Will I return here -Yes!

Showers and toilets are excellent as well! Tesco Express half a mile away if you walk which is helpful. also a chemist next door to Tesco if you need it (hopefully not!)

User

Lovely weekend with the North London caravan centre, on the rally field. The site was very clean and tidy and a credit to the wardens, who were very helpful.

User

Lovely caravan site, the best five days away we've had for a long time. We walked round the lakes every day while the kiddies used their bikes. Plenty to see and do. Would recommend Ferry Meadows Club Site to all, whether you have children, dogs or neither, great place.

User

Had an absolutely fabulous weekend here on the rallyfield celebrating the Royal Wedding. The Wardens are really friendly and so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble for them. Great weather, fabulous grass! A real Gem! We will be back really soon!

User

Ferry Meadows is a regular stopping place for us as we travel up or down country. It is a great place with direct access on to Nene Park and the Nene Valley Steam Railway. This stay was our annual visit with two grandsons (12 & 7). There is lots to do for them here. The play area keeps them busy, rides on bikes in the park, boating on the lake, and the steam railway keep us occupied too. It is an ideal campsite for those with a dog and kids. The site is busy with kids in school breaks, but there is also a separate quieter side for those who prefer a more relaxed atmosphere. Wardens are cheerful and helpful, and keep the site clean and tidy (a challenge with all the kids!). We keep coming back and will for the foreseeable future.

User

We have only been at Ferry Meadows for a few days, as a stop on our way home. It's a lovely site in a beautiful position in the Neene valley country park. The site is kept well and the facilities are always clean. There's a visiting fish n chip / fast food van and an icecream van that visits the site each evening. The Neene Valley country park is wonderful - plenty of walking, lakes, activities very nice cafe and some lovely playgrounds for the children. The Neene valley steam train is a couple of minutes walk away and is a lovely way to visit Peterborough. It's lovely to hear it as it whistles through the park. There's also a golf club, so in short, there's plenty to do for everyone.

User

Very confused by the new parking meter system.

Lovely place for a picnic on a good day.

User

The site is the best site I have been to Bar non. However the 3 stars is due to both the caravan and motor home club rules which are much worse and more dictatorial by far than the caravan and camping club, the site staff are rude insulting and delight in pointing out the least infringement.

As a seasonal pitch purchaser at a cost of over £1000 their rules state I should have a choice of any pitch that is unoccupied at the time I take my unit onto site. However in direct breach of this THEIR OWN RULE we were give approx 6 to 10 pitches to choose from. We were at the site by 11.30 am on the day we were allowed on, which is 30 mins earlier than they allow but by that time 3 or 4 of the allocated pitches had been claimed.

I have my dogs on a tie out stake and before I had even unpacked a site staff have been around to say my lines were in breach of their rules as the were over 2 meters. He then proceeded to lecture my children on how to ride their bikes around on the site and threatened them if they did not adhere to this rule their bikes would be returned to the caravan and they would stay there.

The insult in this is that the people on the next put h had their dog on a very long tie out. 3 pitches down the had 2 cars parked on their pitch and most children and adults where riding bikes and scooters in any direction they pleased. I will not be renewing my membership next year.

User

Gets a 3 for facilities but for the second year running the most petty narrow minded staff ever. They seem to go round looking for arguments.

User

Beautiful site and excellent facilities however the attitude of one of the wardens leaves a lot to be desired for!! My husband and son booked a 2 night stay in our caravan along with our in-laws who booked to stay in their motorhome. After checking in we each waited our turn for the barrier to open and let us through. Once we pulled into our chosen pitch we heard this quad bike racing towards us at speed and the warden jumped out and marched towards my father in law demanding to know if he had paid!! My father in law tried to joke with her to lighten the mood as she came across quite aggressive. He happily showed her the receipt and asked what the problem was!! She then jumped back on her bike without explaining herself and left! We were all speechless and quite embarrassed as the site was full and people were looking at us!! We then went to the office to inform them of our pitch numbers and to get our barrier cards. My father in law asked what the problem was earlier and she said that he had followed us under the barrier and not waited for it to go down and then back up again!! She was insinuating that they had sneaked in after us. My father in law reassured her that the barrier did indeed go down and he waited for it to go back up again as he wouldn't want it to damage his brand new costly motorhome. She was very rude and patronising and as a retired police officer my father in law said that her attitude was very threatening and aggressive; totally uncalled for!! Such a shame really as we love the site, but our experience at check in totally marred our whole weekend. She needs to reevaluate how she speaks to paying guests and get her facts right before she accuses people of not paying. Disgraceful behaviour!!

User

Beautiful setting. We were based on the family side with the park. Park lovely, but condition of toilets disappointing with no toilet paper and needed a good clean 😔

User

Well we are not caravannersure. But narrowboaters. Moored on the lake next to this site . It is a time of adversity with the River Nene being in flood therefore we are not allowed to move . We have large capacity to carry water but that will soon be depleted. I very nicely asked if we may use their showers. ..NO. . Very Christian like at Easter I must say . I have heard that this club company like to say they are "friendly". Not sure this applies in reality .
