This month is Independent Business Month and we're celebrating by sharing with you some of the brilliant businesses within Festival Place. HAIR LAB was founded by husband & wife team Chigz & Hina Hirani. Since opening in 2016 they have received great support from the local community & built a loyal base of customers. If you're in need of a trim this weekend why not pop in & support one of Basingstoke's independent businesses.

User

You're always great but please (after asking so many times!) can we have mirrors in the family toilets/baby changing room?!

User

Thanks to motability scooter hire I am now able to go shopping with ease for the first time in nearly 20 years as was unable to get around before.

User

Loads of shops and eatery, but be aware getting lost is so easy especially your car lol

User

Its a great place to shop and great for food to all excellant especially for my boys as they love jack jones and blu inc havent got these shops in newbury xxx

User

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the first aiders at festival place today. I was there with my 2 boys and had gone there to meet a friend for lunch. My 4 year old boy got taken sick and ended up being very poorly in the shopping centre and then was too weak to even stand up. The first aid guys (who appeared very quickly) were amazing. They put some barriers up around us so we could have some privacy and were so good with my son. They let us all stay there till my husband got there (who is a trained first aider and is way better than me in these situations, I just panic!). A huge thank you to those guys

User

Had to go to the Apple Store otherwise I probably wouldn't have travelled that that far from where I live(Oxfordshire) but was glad I did because I received excellent service, although it was a Saturday and New Years Eve and was busy everybody seemed happy and helpful, and also a lovely atmosphere,I will certainly return.

User

Festival place, a beautiful accessible day out for everyone, all the time you need to shop shop shop, all the shops you could need, and so clean, bright airy, places to sit, easily accessible from the train station, recommended for wheelchair users.

User

Basingstoke is a fantastic place to live. We have some fabulous amenities such has cinemas, bowling alley, ice rink. Stacks of other things to do and visit. Festival place is the icing on the cake with everything for most people. The car park is very cheap compared to Reading and there are always plenty of spaces. We are very lucky to have an excellent hospital nearby. Combined with the ring road that makes getting about very easy, what more can you ask for. I’m glad I chose to live in Basingstoke 35 years ago. I’ve seen many changes, all for the better.

User

Always enjoy our trips to Festival Place - the Oracle is a bus ride from where we live, but would rather go to Basingstoke. Good for shops, great place to eat, loads of places for coffee and not a million miles from home

User

Very good range of shops. Looking empty now in parts but very busy throughout only issues yesterday was with the maintenance going on in the car park was difficult to find a space. Once found a space had a good time shopping would like a few more shops to replace some of the vacant ones though

User

Very big centre way to much for one visit.

Car park very daunting I thought very big and easy lose the car...but they do have people to help u find your car if needed.

Clean toilets and friendly staff...

Will visit again but in a weekday.

User

I working In this shopping centre from last 6 months doing communal areas electric.

Place is nice but little old have around 50 years and to find power for anything you have to spend nearly half day to find.

BUT THERE ARE VERY NICE MENTANANCE GUYS WITH HELPING A LOT IF YOU ASK THEM!!!!!

User

Great place for shopping got everything I like. Parking is good. My favourite shop is Affinity East people are friendly in there and great stuff.

User

We are local but in recent weeks the car park situation has got worse. Blocked roundabouts, queues, 2 out of four barriers out of order. We are considering shopping elsewhere as we waste so much time just trying to get in. Once you are in, you can count all the empty shops!

User

My hubby and I were at Festival place yesterday ,we find it very easy to park we go up the road next to the train station and follow the road around to go into the car park .We parked on C3 next to the lift's with no problem got in the lift and came out opposite Debenhams ,we found our way back to the car on our way out we always seem to get lost and end up on the wrong road to get back to Salisbury .On the Exit's could there be sign's on what roads go where .Thank you .M, Rowden .

User

Lovely place to shop, but awful for anyone with a disabled child/person!! Changing facilities are not good enough for a large centre like this. We had to change our daughter on the floor as the the only proper facility the changing places room is closed on a Sunday. Needs sorting festival place!

User

I visited yesterday as I was taking part in the Festival Place 5k race, easy to find and park albeit I was there very early! I didn't find exiting the car park that easy due to exit signs not being obvious or was it just me?

DISABLED PEOPLE DONT BOTHER GOING. Went to Festival Place in Basingstoke today. Disabled spaces had cars with no disabled badges. I went to Customer Lounge to make enquiries into what could be done to stop this happening and was told well we don’t do anything. No notice on the car. No fine. Nothing. What an attitude. Disgusted. Why have disabled bays if they are not enforced. Which means I will need to park over 2 spaces to make sure there is enough space to be able to allow wheelchair access. Guess that’s acceptable as nothing is going to be done about it according to customer lounge and every non disabled person can park in disabled bays. #FestivalPlaceDisregardsDisabledPeople
