A pleasure, gents. Guinness and chocolate as it happens; hand made, hand iced and hand piped.

Gig in a lap dancing club... why ever not.
We built a proper stage, PA and lights for the night in Black Orchid York - Gentlemans Club & Whisky Lounge, although the pole and the mirrors had to stay. Just for authenticity, y’know.
And we were treated to two hours of good old Nashville rock’n’roll, blues and country from Dan Baird and Homemade Sin on a cramped stage under a low ceiling, on thick carpet amongst red velvet drapes and airbrushed pictures of ladies.
... Some bands are just unstoppable. What's not to love.

Since the June release of new album ‘Equals’ put The Alarm back in the album charts on both sides of the Atlantic, the band have been performing non stop, including a celebrated Beatles style rooftop performance from LIVE NATION’s New York HQ that was watched by over 100,000 fans on Facebook Live.
Following a marathon 44 date North American Tour, The Alarm are back in the UK and, more importantly for us, back at Fibbers for the first time since May 2011.
From humble beginning...s in Wales and 1981’s debut single ‘Unsafe Building’ featuring, for then, a daring mix of amped-up acoustic guitars, harmonica and passionate vocals and inviting the enduring description “Bob Dylan meets The Clash”.
It’s a sound heard around the world ever since, with 17 Top 50 UK singles, a host of successful albums and over 6 million sales worldwide, a career that has also seen founding member Mike Peters sing on stage with the likes of Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and U2.

‘Have to be seen to be believed’ rings absolutely spot-on dead true for China Shop Bull. Hip hop, punk, ska, drum & bass, reggae blasted out by a Yorkshire rapper cum awesome guitarist, a precision rhythm section and brass that’ll blow you away.
2017’s digital remix album ‘Bang Out Of Disorder’, (proceeds to MacMillan Cancer Support!) led to inclusion continent-wide in DJ sets, a first tour of Italy and familiar presence at festivals such as Boomtown Fair, Equinox, Bearded Th...eory and Beatherder.
Bloody top line-up this, with grunge/punk trio Part Time Miserables Dan Jennings (vox, rhythm guitar), Jimmy Gaffney (lead guitar and ‘mood swings’) and Henry Willows (drums and bassoon…). HEALTH WARNING: a fair bit of mayhem follows this band around…
Pat Butcher, then – soap opera, carrots and thrashy punk. These may well be borrowed names… Phil Mitchell (vox), Kain Dingle (guitar), Zak Dingle (mandolin), Gail Platt (bass) and what presumably is the whole of Albert Square (drums). Nowt wrong with punk being fun as well.
First but not least so be sure to pitch up early for The Carnival Rejects (Ex-Urban Scum/The Vexed), best mates in crime, the crime being ‘Olde Yorke Hardcore Punk’ which we don’t think is a crime at all. Well, not a hanging offence anyway.
It all points to a joyous and rumbunctious night of ska, punk and general chucking yourself around. Recommended. Of course.

Is there a more exciting sight than Wilko Johnson chopping at a Telecaster tethered to a coily lead, bouncing back and forth across a stage…
