I have just one question for any trainers using or recommending shock or prong collars, please tell me, all of us, what you are going to do when these implements are banned? How are you then going to help the dog with Aggression issues? All answers gratefully received.
I’m just like everyone else😄
If anyones leaves a message on either the landline or the mobile for Dog Training or Behaviour, please repeat clearly to ensure your call can be returned.
It’s worth noting that not all trainers who use these will openly admit that they do, it may take a little bit of searching through their business photos (business pages are usually public), contrary to what they say, these implements DO hurt.
I’m absolutely stunned, after talking to a Behaviourist friend from the South East, she told me that she she had been out with her Sister in Law, who is a dog walker, and realised that she had no idea how to alter a harness so it doesn’t rub one dog or that the other dog couldn’t slip out of it, she said she almost lost her rag but decided to give her a lesson in fitting them instead, thankfully, the two people I would use, have some commonsense and knowledge, if you don’t know how to use equipment, you shouldn’t be responsible for other people’s dogs😡
Puppy and Bronze courses, yet another fabulous year of puppies and young dogs☺️
On our way to The White Horse on Chester Racecourse for some summer evening refreshment (non alcoholic of course😄)
Sian and Jack after working hard to gain his Gold Pet Proficiency Award, his test comprised of off lead walking, staying with Sian, in a public park, ignoring distractions that are thrown or bounced, Stop the Dog as he moves away from handler, ignore distractions on the ground, including food items such as chips/sandwiches/biscuits - as may be found after a picnic and more, as well as a having to answer 7 out of 10 questions correctly. Bearing in mind that Jack was a reactive dog when he came to us and not very trusting of people, he is now so enthusiastic to come in and can be walked in areas that previously would have concerned him. Extremely well done Sian and Jack 😊👍👍👍
Some of you will remember Hannah from when she was Training Assistant at FIDO, I’m sure she will be thrilled to have your support 😀
