Rosie Axon's Testimonial: "This is my boy Monty and me! Monty is a 3 year old Flat Coated Retriever who has been attending Field of Dreams Dog Training since he was a pup of 14 weeks old. He was recently awarded "Most Improved Dog of 2014" and I am immensely proud of him. Those of you that know him know I joke about him but what he has achieved and what he is capable of is all down to the people at Field of Dreams. He has done all sorts of different activities up at the field..., including fun agility and, as you can see from the photo, he is in the Field of Dreams Obedience Display Team which had a fantastic 2014 season and is already in training for 2015. FCR's are notoriously immature but I am confident that I have a well behaved, well trained dog that I can take anywhere on or off lead and that is all down to the training techniques at FOD. Although I have owned dogs for over 30 years Monty is the first I have taken to proper, formal training and I have learnt so much about dogs and why they behave as they do through FOD. The training techniques taught at FOD are positive and kind and dog (not owner) centred. A happy dog that wants to work is the aim at FOD not an obedient dog that is scared not to work through harsh training methods. Such is Monty's contentment at FOD that he will work for any of the other handlers ( sometimes better than he will work for me -( George Killen!!!) But that just makes me even more proud of him! And what about the humans! Starting with the trainers - Pauline Sharpe, John O'Hare and Ryan Guntrip - fantastic people who care about the dogs and their well-being and welfare first, people that I am proud to call my friends as well as "teachers"!! Each one will go the extra mile to ensure that the dog is happy and content and keen to learn, including 1-2-1 sessions, grumpy growlers classes and socialisation for timid or nervous dogs. Each trainer makes you feel that you and your dog are the most important thing there is! And then there are the other dogs and owners that share our experiences! Again people and dogs that I am happy and proud to call my friends and that have welcomed me into the FOD family. Some have moved on but such is the bond we build at FOD over our dogs that those that are gone are still in contact and the friendship remains (Rachel Alison, Sally Dixon, Karen Holmes etc) If you have a dog and you want to learn with it and have fun at the same time then FOD is what you are looking for - and tell your friends too!"

My self and Loki love coming here. In the 4-5weeks we have been coming I am amazed at the progress Loki is making. Love that they do tests and you can progress further. Would really recommend.

Love this place! I really enjoy coming with hunter, and his development is so rewarding! Each week I am amazed at how far he has come on, and how great a dog he is. Positive approach, great rewards, and fabulous people!
