Will Smith had a great day on Sandy yesterday. Catfish, Carp & rather randomly a fresh water mussel! Variety is the spice of life!

Well done Nidge Smith (pictured left)on winning the latest Saturday open match held on Far Hope. Nidge drew peg 7 to land a fantastic 71lb 2oz of quality carp and bream. Fishing the meat on both the pole and the tip, Nidge caught throughout the match. In a close second spot was Steve Booth(doesn't like photos) with 66lb 3oz of quality carp and bream. Steve fished from peg 9 to catch in the margins on paste and corn on the pole. Third place went to Sean Lawlor (pictured top r...ight)with 64lb of quality carp taken from peg 14. Sean caught down the margins on the paste and meat. Fourth place was taken by Dave Holland(pictured bottom right) with 60lb from peg 19 with John Hammond in fifth with 50lb 8oz from 21. Tim Tagell was sixth with 48lb 8oz from peg 20. Our next open match will be held on Big Beam this coming Thursday, see you there!

Had a good afternoon on big beam had it all to our self's Mike grandson had about 50lb of carp and I had about 25lb lost a couple of big ones but another great afternoon Chris.

Saturday's open is on Far Hope with a club match on Big Beam, leaving Farm Pool, Kingfisher and Sandy available to pleasure fish. Sunday sees Big Beam, Kingfisher, Sandy and Farm Pool all available to pleasure fish.

Well done Chris on landing this Kingfisher carp.

A huge well done to Andy Dyson (pictured) on smashing his own Big Beam lake record in the latest Saturday open match. On a changable day weather wise, Andy did fantastically well to land a brilliant 180lb 1oz of quality carp from peg 16. Andy fished the maggot in the margins to accelerate through the match from a quiet start. In second place also topping the tonne mark was Mick Potter. Mick drew peg 40 where he landed 101lb of quality margin carp taken on the worm. Third pl...ace was taken by Stef Brown from peg 21. Stef weighed in with a very respectable 80lb 1oz of quality carp and F1's taken on the maggot. Fourth place was taken by Pete Clements with 46lb 8oz from peg 14 followed by Ian Blakley in fifth with 34lb 14 oz with Ciaran McAndrew in sixth with 34lb 12oz. Our next open will be held on Big Beam this coming Thursday, See you there !!
