Very poor response to 2 grand children who have severe allergies who at lunchtime bring their own snacks. There were 3 adults who had wine and food from Figs.

Yesterday my Mum and I had the Quirky Afternoon Tea. The food was absolutely delicious, the venue is clean and very nicely decorated and the staff were all excellent. Would highly recommend it.

Food was excellent-service was first class. We really enjoyed our Valentine's day lunch. A distinct lack of anything valentine related though! The only criticism would be the cutlery. Has anyone else eating at Figs noticed how unwieldy the knives are to eat with ? Or was it just us ?! The square shape of the handles are quite difficult to manoeuvre. Shame as this small detail kind of took the shine off our experience. It was still a really lovely meal though and we would go back again with our own cutlery!

Having used this cafe before when here as part of a group of adults for a christmas party the staff and service has always warm and friendly. Having returned with my family and a close friend of the family who happens to have a child in a push chair the reception was completely different. To be honest I was quite embarrassed that I had recommended it in the first place. The attitude of the staff and owner himself was appalling, he obviously didnt recognise me from when I have been there before spending a ridiculous amount of money on food and drink for my party of 6 to 8 for a little place in Cleethorpes not exactly Covent Garden. This is one place I will definately avoid in future if I ever find myself in darkest Grimsby again.

Great fine food in relaxed surroundings. A delight every time I visit.
