As with most tube stations, this one could really do with a small make-over. A bit of paint here and there and it would already look much more appealing.

At the moment paint is coming off the wall, there's myriads of water leaks (hence there's always plenty of sandbags on the floor) and there's absolutely no sufficient ventilation on the station platforms.

The Wells Terrace exit has been closed, therefore you should avoid the morning rush hour if you can, or wake up a bit earlier. Usually the front entrance starts to fill up at 8:05-8:15.

If you arrive 5 minutes earlier, it will make a BIG difference. The train will be less full and you will have some space to move. As well you won't need to queue at the entrance.

There's a one way system in place during the rush hour, which means that the Seven Sisters entrance will only be used as an exit during these times.

The good side of Finsbury Park Station however, is the frequencies with which trains are arriving at the station. If you're intending to use the Victoria Line, there will be a new train every minute.

Currently in a terrible state and looks like nothing is being done to improve it or make it even slightly better than, well, the closest thing I can think of right now is that feeling you get where someone looks at you like they're going to punch you.
