Fireworks Ice Cream & Desserts

What a fabulous place!!! Desserts are made with care and passion. The owner is such a lovely man, had time for every individual and was so grateful for our custom. He made us feel extremely welcome and obviously cares about his customers unlike some places. If you've not been, you're missing out.

One thing I would suggest is wet wipes at the end of the meal to wipe away the goodness from sticky fingers!!!....A fabulous business idea and one I hope takes off. We'll be back �� x

So much fun, I think I'm still sugar high two days later! Great personality amongst all the staff, an incredible array of mind blowing desserts and generally an amazing experience as a customer; try it but leave plenty of space, this is no place for Slimming World syns!

Visited fireworks on a Saturday evening! We were greeted with a half hearted "welcome to fireworks"( the welcome needs working on someone who oozes confidence) to be honest the welcome matched the atmosphere, flat!



We had booked a table but had to wait as it wasn't ready didn't wait long , we were seated and told desserts can take up to 30 mins from ordering which is fine.



I didn't expect to wait to have to order let alone ask to order. Once ordered, our drinks took over 25 mins to arrive.



Whilst waiting for our dessert I observed the clientele if I'm honest I felt as if I was interrupting a family celebration it certainly felt this way as the owners spent a lot of time with these "family" tables not once did they visit our table or any other "non family" table!



I also observed the tables being cleaned with windowlene!



Our dessert arrived as a lot of people have commented it didn't look like the picture but tasted ok.



Not once were we asked if everything was ok? Or if we needed anything else?



I personally think the staff need some major customer service training as do the owners - this will greatly improve the atmosphere and service. The waiting staff seemed very lack lustre hopefully some real training will help this. I will go back purely to see if improvements have been made.



Overall the experience doesn't match the name.

Went on Wednesday, had to wait an hour for our pre-booked booth then waited another hour for our order in which we asked whether we order or they take the order as they never came to the table. Then when the desserts finally came they weren't as shown in the menu, very overpriced for what I received! The staff were stood around chatting and not interested in the customers.

Then I went again this afternoon and they told us they couldn't give us a table when there was many free however when someone walked in behind us, they could find them a table.

Also, my sister has a month old baby who had to use the baby changing facilities which weren't clean or hygienic!

Visited today shortly after they opened. This is relevant as it was not busy yet it took 45 minutes for my order to arrive. Was starting to think I would be waiting till sundae. This wait was just for my order, my wife's had still not arrived and I was starting to think they had desserted us. Another 10 minutes went by and we were told my wife's order had hit a rocky road and had to be made again at which point ice could of creamed. We decided to leave my wife with empty stomach. Some work is needed or I think they will 100's and 1000's of unhappy customers.

Visited this afternoon, no hot drinks available! Ordered 2 desserts, both arrived with things missing and not as the picture in the menu! Staff could do with more training, very inexperienced! Also Very expensive for what you get, won't be returning!

Very disappointing experience. The decor is bland and stunk of paint. It's not modern or thought out, no desserts on display just a menu. Opening Articles made this place to be the next Willy Wonkers! Far from it. All fairness waffle was ok, didn't order anything big as felt it was a waste of money and not the experience we were looking for.

There was about 20 varieties of ice cream but only a few had a label next to them. No price list so I was shocked to pay £6.80 for 2 tubs of ice cream with one scoop each (got charged for 2 scoops each) I had to ask the server to re wash the scoop between the two servings as he still had bubble gum whilst scooping mint choc chip. Expected better service and staff knowledge.

Honestly - who owns this place?



This has the potential to be a mega and exciting place, there is definitely a large calling for a magical dessert stop in altrincham.



However...



I attended today and there was such a lack of leadership. I almost wanted to get stuck in and help wth the chaos.



Everyone was so stressed! The place was a complete rip, the hygiene was poor.



Yet there seemed to be so many staff.



Someone sort it please so we can come back and eat cake! The menu looked mint! �

Both myself and other friends visited on the opening night. A lot of out of stock items and despite having an abundance of staff none of them seemed to know who was doing what or serving whom!! Started with drinks...... Coffee machine broken on first day. We ordered two apple and pear juices. When they arrived one glass had considerably more in than the other?!?!?

The milkshake I ordered for main (for £9.85!!!!!) was very sloppily put together and nowhere near as professional as in the menu photograph. Order took 40 minutes to turn up which nearly led to us leaving. Other friends that evening did indeed walk out and you lost out on £80 worth of sales.

Nice idea for a place and commendable for trying something different..... But poor poor service and sloppy planning.... Staff training and a bit of organisation would serve you well.

Only one menu available between us and had to try hard to get anyones attention to take our order, even though there were 17 staff on shift. We then waited 45 mins for our order, only one of which arrived (of course, looking nothing like the menu pictures). My partner's did not appear and so we questioned staff and it arrived 10 mins later, also being wrong. To top it off, i then found a hair in mine, probably because lots of the staff were walking around without their hair tied up. Definitely not acceptable from a hygiene point of view.



It is clear that the opening has been rushed. The staff are all very young and inexperienced. Not enough time has been taken to train them up properly.

At least 9 staff walking the floor, lots of staff behind the counter yet we were left 20 minutes at the table with no waiter despite asking. Eventually a waitress came and said it would be 40 minutes to bring us a dessert. Offered no drinks and wandered away. It wasn't clean and bench seat was wet! I'm all for giving a new business a chance but they were so disorganised. Staff seemed to dealing with complaints from many tables. Won't be visiting again!

- The smell of paint was overwhelming. Granted the decor had only just been finished but no attempt was made to mask the smell.



- The waiting staff were all very young and very inexperienced. Leading to many mistakes. There was also way too many staff, many of which were stood around doing very little which gave the place a 'club' like feel.



- The coffee machine didn't work...on opening night!



- For a desert restaurant there were no desert spoons! Only tea spoons!



- The service was shockingly slow and poor, 40 minutes to receive a drink and some ice cream :-/



- The food whilst ok in taste, was too sweet (and I have a very, very sweet tooth!), the presentation was sloppy and unlike the pictures in the menu and very expensive for what you receive.



All in all I was sorely disappointed and won't be going back. I rarely post or review places, but I felt the need to share my shocking experience so that others avoid wasting their time by visiting.

Moody staff with lack of knowledge of the menu and with an hour wait for any menu food! Offering take out but with no plastic forks and can't take out the milkshakes! It was disorganised with kids working there with no customer service skills! And to add to that something was burning in the toaster! Wouldn't recommend had so much potential but a complete let down �

I never been to an establishment that has provided such poor service. I never take the time to give reviews, good or bad! But felt the need to do so for this place! What an absolute disappointment! I would recommend you get better, more experienced staff, that do not hold a teenage attitude of I don't care or look like wet lettuces, stood around staring in space looking for things to do when there was plenty of customers seeking attention for service! I had to ask for so many things; from asking for menus, cutlery to chasing up orders of food asking for the bill. I was never asked once if we wanted drinks with our food which is a loss on your behalf! We had reserved a table however there was no preparation for this once arrived. We were offered a booth to sit in! Which did not fit the amount of people I was with (8) I was offered a chair to go on the end of table, but was not given one. I had to chase for this also to which one of you're staff offered me a low stool which would of probably not reached the table- absolute joke- I told her no and that I would need a chair, which she pulled her face at! You have great deserts however the fact that the service was horrific! I would not be attending again and will be advising people not to bother also.
