Firs Park

Firs Park is a lovely caravan Park, conveniently situated close to Clacton town centre, with all the benefits that any seaside town could be expected to offer, including local buses, trains, restaurants and shops, and of course the beach along with its associated amusements etc.
The park itself offers an unrivalled level of serenity and would probably be better suited to the mature owner/holiday maker than young families, although there are some limited facilities for a small number of children.
The grounds are generally well maintained and have seen a steady number of improvements over a period of time, which is pleasing to observe. This however is somewhat undermined by the fact that some of the trees have been allowed to become overgrown and now represent a very significant danger and great concern for the owners/holidaymakers, particularly in the high winds that we see in Clacton from time to time. The management have acknowledged the need for the required tree maintenance and promised it will be "tackled in due course"... This promise was made well over 2 years ago, so fingers crossed, we should see the trees cut back sometime soon.
Staff and regulars, including fellow owners to the site are generally polite and helpful and there is little or no trouble or antisocial behaviour apparent. This is probably due in part to the type of clientelle that the park attracts, with very little noise pollution and even less child invasion.
Over-all Firs Park is a pleasure to stay at and would win a 5 star rating from me once the trees are dealt with properly..

Friend has a 'van here and it's a very chilled out and clean site. Lovely place to relax and the club house is a blast as well!

Good location with transport links into town, though taxis are usually the best way to travel, unless you have a car.
