Excellent food freshly prepared while you wait, served by knowledgeable, polite staff!

The food along with the staff was just amazing. The appetizers were outstanding in terms of presentation and taste. We ordered fish and lamb chops as main course and it seemed as if the fish had just been taken out from water - Extremely fresh. The owner himself was there catering to our requests.

Good food with a lovely service, they couldn't do enough to help

Casual and not very impressive, all fish. Price per quality is good but I would prefer tastier

Good fish and chips!

Came here after Young & Foodish rated this place as the best fish and chips in London. We ordered some oysters to start, and the fried cod and fried haddock with some mushy peas and chips to share.

The oysters we're lovely - fresh and creamy and reasonably priced.

The fish and chips were good. I really liked the chips, proper chip shop chips which were moist and not overdone.

We are absolutely positive that they mixed up the cod and the haddock, but they vehemently denied it. In any case, the fish was good. If I were being picky, then I'd have preferred the batter to be slightly thinner as the fish itself was excellent quality.

Worth the journey for a meal here.

Lovely fresh fish, great atmosphere, attentive friendly service. And great value. I've been back many times and will do so again...

Little gem hidden in the depths of EC1 just off Old Street. Posh chip shop restaurant with an excellent selection of fresh fish and seafood. Typically east end and well worth a visit. The fact it's a place where all the taxi drivers go must say something.

A gem. Great atmosphere, unpretentious, just quality seafood.

Seriously the best muscles I have had outside Scotland. Fantastic service and actually very reasonably priced for central London.

I went there with my colleagues on a lunch break. The food was ok/good considering the price, but the waiter was one of the most awkward people I have ever met, possibly high on drugs.
I suppose he was trying to be funny and entertain guests but made the vibe really weird by repeating everything twice and talk on purpose with a weird voice or not making any sense. It took us a lot of time to give him the complete order. Before leaving one of my colleagues went to complain about the service to the person behind the tilt who simply apologised and said he completely understand because he has to work with him every day!!!
Too bad, this place is next to my work but I will NEVER go there again.

Outstanding. As a scot in London, and used to the freshest of fresh fish at home, I'm always wary of London Fish Restaurants. This place is superb, the squad to start with was soooo fresh and delicious. The Hake (which I opted for 'traditionally fried' was up there with the best fish I've had outside the Scottish fishing ports. Brilliant, and the staff were very friendly. I'll be back!
