There are so many “easy options” available these days including frozen chips, vacuum packed chips and so on but we believe the traditional methods are the best. That’s why our potatoes are peeled and chipped every day in every one of our stores to give you the best, freshest chips to enjoy and if they’re in the chip box for any more than 20 minutes they get thrown away!
We source our potatoes from farms we’ve known for over ten years in the Fens of Cambridgeshire. The Maris piper remains our most widely used potato but we regularly experiment with new breeds in the never ending search for better quality.

Fish & Chips is a much healthier meal than you might think! Did you know that an average portion of Fish & Chips has about 990 calories? That’s about half the number of calories contained in a typical 14” Pizza, about 25% less than the calories you’ll find in a typical Indian takeaway and 8% less than a Big Mac and large fries.
Fish is high in nutrients such as protein, vitamin C, vitamins B6 & B12, iron, zinc, calcium and iodine. Fish is also great brain food, containing omega 3 fatty acids.
