Fitmama Women'S Health & Fitness Description

The FitMama Method is designed to help ladies through all physical phases of womanhood, from pre-concention to pregnancy and well beyond. Covering all aspects of wellbeing in preparation for motherhood, exercise and weight management.

Whether you want private sessions or to join classes with other women, we have a solution for you, to suit your lifestyle and help you achieve your goals.

We are the first studio in the UK to offer the revolutionary abdominal sculpting technique called The Hypopresive Method. We use this to aid repair following childbirth, abdominal surgery, prolapse and incontinence.

We are also the longest established pregnancy fitness and birthing specialists in the area. Our pregnancy classes are based on The FitMama Method which is published by Souvenir Press and written by Co-Director of this studio, Marie Behenna.

Alongside of our specialities, we teach a variety of cutting edge functional exercise (using Kettlebells, Bulgarian Bags, Powerbags, Battle ropes, TRX bands, ViPR tubes and much more) to enable you to achieve your weight loss and fitness goals in a safe, challenging and effective style.

Classes in England are on hold following social distancing measures released today. These are steps you can take to reduce the social interaction between people. This will help reduce the transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19).
They are:
Avoid contact with someone who is displaying symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19). These symptoms include high temperature and/or new and continuous cough;... Avoid non-essential use of public transport, varying your travel times to avoid rush hour, when possible; 3.Work from home, where possible. Your employer should support you to do this. Please refer to employer guidance for more information; Avoid large gatherings, and gatherings in smaller public spaces such as pubs, cinemas, restaurants, theatres, bars, clubs Avoid gatherings with friends and family. Keep in touch using remote technology such as phone, internet, and social media. Use telephone or online services to contact your GP or other essential services. Everyone should be trying to follow these measures as much as is pragmatic.
For those who are over 70, have an underlying health condition or are pregnant, we strongly advise you to follow the above measures as much as you can, and to significantly limit your face-to-face interaction with friends and family if possible.
This advice is likely to be in place for some weeks.

Tomorrow this FitMama™️ baby of mine is turning 6 years old. He is so excited!! I am only just starting to feel physically normal again! Women rush to get back to “normal”, but the body takes time to regenerate itself, and even then, the conditions need to be right. Good nutrition, stress reducing techniques, plenty of hydration, safe post birth exercise... and that elusive friend, sleep! Maybe that’s why it’s taken me six years, lol! Try not to put yourself under pressure, find the safest way to recover and be kind to your body... photography Cristina Barton
