Our first visit to a five guys as a treat for the kids, great quality food and service, kids loved the milkshakes, we will definitely be back 👍🏼

Never actually eaten here just wanted to thank one of the ladies there today think her name was Anna, my oldest was having a massive tantrum outside the restaurant and she could see I was upset and came over and helped to calm him down and was ever so lovely so thank you.

I was here with my 2yr old son today. I’m pregnant and was struggling trying to hold a table, while getting drinks, collecting food etc with a toddler in one arm. One of your members of staff, Natalia, came over and asked if she could get a high chair for me, which she did. She then asked my order number and went and collected our food and brought it to the table for us. Just wanted to make sure I mentioned her as she’s providing great customer service and it should be recognised! Thanks Natalia, much appreciated!

Hats off to you and your chefs. Some guy grabbed my order by mistake. Your team apologised and we had fresh food within a minute. Very impressed. Customer service is awesome and the burgers aren't bad lol ;)

Being an American and having previously eaten at several different Five Guy's in different states, Five Guy's in Reading tastes exactly the same as a Five Guy's anywhere in America, but the prices are higher. I expect that because quite frankly British burgers are rubbish and I don't mind paying for a good quality hamburger made exactly how I want it, with local potatoes used to make very good fries. I know of no pub burger in the area that can compete with a Five Guy's burger, so what is everyone complaining about?

Five Guy's is a step above McDonald's and the like, and you should expect higher prices accordingly. However, how many flavours of soda does McDonald's give you? 6? Ha. Five Guy's gives you about 2 dozen flavours of all you can drink sodas, including Powerade and Fanta favourites such as Grape and Strawberry.

You get a massive amount of food for the money - no one has mentioned that but it should be mentioned. My wife and I share a small order of fries, because it is easily enough for two people. A little bacon cheeseburger is larger than most pub burgers and tastes far better.

If you want an authentic, good quality American hamburger go to Five Guy's. If you don't want to spend a lot for lunch, go to McDonald's and have your usual low-quality meal.

Very tasty but over-priced. 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks = £27

Don’t get me wrong; I really don’t mind paying for quality. I do mind being ripped off.

User

Staff were friendly, food I thought was average

User

I was shocked at the prices when I paid was it was EXPENSIVE! And it was a little weird how everything’s just mushed together in a bag?

BUT.. the food was to die for! And my 2 children who are dairy free had no problems with eating there xxx

Had a dog this time for first time. It was tasty but I thought that the burgers that the boys had and my dog had been visually spoiled by wrapping them up in foil. Small point but only critique I cangive and reason for not scoring 5*.

User

Great burgers and fries, but over priced £40 for x2 burgers 1 hotdog and 2 cokes and a shake, all in a bag at that price would have like it on a plate when your eating in.

Burgers & Cheese Dogs were Fantastic , Burger was one of the best I've had But £4 for a cup of fries !! & most of those ended up in the bag . It's fast food & needs to be cheaper than £48 for a family of 4 to grab a light lunch . That said I'll go back because the Burgers are that Good .

User

Quite pricey for fairly average burger nothing special but tasty nonetheless the fries were amazing however! Que's usually ridiculously long here wasn't to bad on this visit however wouldn't be prepared to do the usual que's for the food we had really not worth it unfortunately

User

More expensive than a festival burger... small portions, small burgers... Shit to be plain and simple lol - you can get better burgers for half the price from your local burger van .

Wouldn't of even put 1 star but I had to. Absolutely awful place, I serve my dogs dinner better than they serve their food. I had to take my daughters burger back twice as it was still pink inside. The little burger was the same size as the ordinary burger and the chips were just in the bottom of the paper bag. Absolutely not worth the money, the most overpriced dogs dinner. Definitely will not be coming back!

User

What a load of rubbish, twice as much as a burger king and know where near as nice.

User

Well, first off, I have to say the burgers taste amazing. But the price is appalling considering it is only burger and chips.

And for 2 burgers, 1 portion of fries & 2 drinks at £30 I'd of at least liked a plate!!

At least I can now say I've tried it but won't be going back

I'm usually a big fan of five guys. But on this occasion I went, I wanted to use the Loo first and then order some food. As I went to find the loo a staff member (male) was very rude and abruptly told me that they aren't public toilets and go downstairs, he didn't even wait to hear a response from me as he turned away. I was absolutely fuming but the lack of customer service. I went over to ask one of the girls if they where pen and she politely said no but they where at 1100. I will not be returning to this five guys and won't be recommending it to others.
