Flackley Ash Hotel & Restaurant

Overall good hotel and restaurant, I'd tweak the breakfast a bit next time. The staff were friendly, though the receptionist could have been a bit more understanding about a trivial misunderstanding from the evening meal! Doesn't take much to make an awkward conversation the main thing you remember about a hotel.

All in all a very enjoyable experience with pleasant and courteous staff and good food and facilities. However, general decor is all looking rather tired and in need of a revamp. Would definitely go back again.

Room was clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful and the food was wonderful. I had the lamb which fell away from the bone. I highly recommend a visit even if it's just for the food. Breakfast was a real treat.

We went for a family get together which involved a meal. The staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. The food was really good and the setting was lovely. Parking was ample and the road signage was really good. Family members were staying overnight and said the rooms were good and the pool was great. Overall I was very impressed with the Flackley Ash and I would recommend it.

Spent a lovely relaxing 4 nights with my dog Leo we were both made very welcome all the staff are very kind and helpful,
My room was very spacious, comfy and clean we were so comfy we didn't want leave.
I highly recommend breakfast full English cooked to perfection I was so full couldn't waste a bit.
Had dinner once also very yummy.
I highly recommend Flakely ash hotel I will definitely return thank you all for a wonderful stay X

Went for a relatively large event, it was well staffed with a good selection of food available in the buffet, tea coffee and cakes were also available. The bar had good choice and the whole venue was clean and well looked after.

All the staff are very friendly and more than happy to help with anything the rooms are nice and very large. The breakfast was lovely and the facilities i.e the pool, hottub and steam room were lovely. Only complaint was the room was too warm but minor when everything was so lovely definitely the best 3* hotel I've stayed in. Probably on par if not better than most 4* hotels I've stayed in.

Its a bit worn in places and if you're after modern technology such as key cards to open your room door then this is not for you. Yes its dated but it makes up for any shortfall by location, comfort, cleanliness,efficient staff and good food. There's also spa facilities eg fairly large indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, steam room and sauna. There is a conservatory which is used for dining and a joy to be in whilst having your evening meal. This hotel is evidently very popular and pretty booked up especially at weekends. There's a comparable hotel in Rye but I think this better value for money.

Decor a bit dated. Room adequate but nothing special. The staff were pleasant and accommodating but we got very tired of hearing "no worries" in reply to every request. Breakfast was pretty good and plentiful. The staff tried to persuade us to eat there in the evenings but the menu was too pretentious and pricey for our tastes. (Who wants to eat samphire, for instance?)

We chose this hotel because it was where we wanted to be at a reasonable price. There was really nothing else to attract us back there.
