The customer service from management is disgusting. We arrived this year for a 7 day stay at the Fir Tree Lodge, having stayed in the Gate House the year prior we where sold this with false pretense as we where told this would be better, well its not even close and it's just as expensive £1650 and this included a 20% promotional discount. It's basically a grubby wooden shed that has had a kitchen installed and a bathroom and en suite shower. The porch was absolutely covered in bird poo, was not very clean inside, the hoover supplied did not look like it had been emptied since new, bird feathers and old sweets under the beds, no Internet, cracked glass on the upstairs balcony door, lights not working, the windows where filthy inside and out and the hot tub is not secluded as visitors park all around your accommodation and always walking by to access the touring section of the park and this was happening all day and night it was not as private as we where sold.

The Gate House is a different class and you can class this as signature accommodation, secluded hot tub, Internet access, amazing bunk beds each with built-in TV, luxurious bathroom again complete with a TV and quality beds with comfortable mattresses.
The negative is that is located outside the park.

We obviously complained to management about the Fir Tree Lodge. We where extremely disappointed in there response, trust me we where getting no where fast and it took Andy five days of messing around before we got an offer and he was very reluctant to say the least, he will just try and blag your head and also try to make you feel embarrassed for complaining and you have to pursue him for answers, he won't come to you believe me. The offer was as follows.

2 night stay in a Gold Caravan £80.
2 night stay in Cottage 4 with a hot tub £200.

This was basically a buy one night get one free. It's laughable if you could see the difference between the two accommodations. I would personally prefer to stay in a Gold Caravan for half the price than the Fir Tree Lodge.

We took the Cottage offer as compensation as we were definitely getting nothing more, we did not get to check in until 3:50pm and unpacked and got sorted as the children where participating in the Talent show that evening so we didn't get to use the Hot tub. On Wednesday day 2 we went to use it and look at the state of it, I have attached 3 images. I told reception and it took them four hours to decide to tell me it can't be cleaned until Thursday morning at 9am ( We check out a 10am) strangely at the same time I returned to reception to be told I wasn't getting a clean hot tub another lady was in complaining about the Fir Tree Lodge lol.

Basically I should of took the Gold Caravan as we did not get to use the hot tub.

After trying to speak to management that morning and passed from pillar to post I got told to email Andy the park manager. I obviously did the best he could come up with was sorry, obviously they have got my money from both breaks and had no intention of refunding anything. As it's an independent park there is no head office, he is it.

They managed to get more money out of me, don't make the same mistake, they are robbers with no masks.

The majority of staff can hold there head up high, reception staff namely, Jan and Melissa as the customer service received from these was fine, just let down by poor management.

It's doesn't have the 'best' rides or an amazing zoo but it really does have loads for all ages. Of all the theme parks, this has the most variety of experiences for every age category. If you have younger ones and they like coasters, there are more here than the other bigger parks. It also has the thrill rides for the big kids too. The food is below average, even in the proper restaurant so I'd take a picnic. Recommended for all the family.

Just been for two weeks with the family. There is something for everyone to do without anyone being bored. The food is excellent prices are brilliant. The club and entertainment was fantastic. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved it. Will be going back next year.

Lots of close parking. Food was reasonably priced. Entry to park itself was reasonable when you see all the rides and attractions on offer. We got a 2 for 1 offer entry (use Google) which helps. Make sure the weather's good. A change of clothes helps because a couple of rides will leave you REALLY wet...

... and if you're paying the full £38 to enter the park, a couple of queue jumping tickets at 2 quid a throw is worth it

The rides are good and well organised; clearly equipment is maintained properly. Great fun if you're a white knuckle fan.
The eateries are numerous and of a good standard; though struggled with gluten free option.
The animals are by far my favourite part; really appreciate the variety and effort to present information. Some endangered species that are clearly being well cared for and preserved for future generations. Well done to you.
Overall, good day out.

Great place to take kids however it is expensive for entrance fee. I went on a animal experience and loved it. Would recommend the lemur experience for older kids

Stayed at the Gate House lodge had a great weekend with our grand daughter, she loved the hot tub in the garden and our own private path to the park and zoo. Great accommodation, TV's in every room including the bathroom with biggest bath I have seen. The whole house has a built in sound system that you just Bluetooth too and pay your music, not cheap but you get what you pay for. Only thing missing is a BBQ and and information folder on all the toys in the house, great for a family of up to four or a great weekend away base.

Love this place, we go every year. Friendly staff, exceptional and very clean accommodation. Other parks should take notice of how to maintain cleanliness. Jolly Sailor takeaway is reasonably priced as is the local Costcutter. The Club also sell reasonably priced Alcohol, some locations I have visited charge over £4 per pint.
Well done Flamingo Land.

There are great rides here blah blah blah but, more importantly, there is a top zoo! Well worth the day out even if you don't like theme parks. The food isn't half bad either and was reasonably priced, tasty fish and chips.
