I really don't know what to say except thank you!!! You guys deserve more than 5 stars. They went above and beyond in helping me and even giving extra service +fitting for free. Because they truly value and appreciate passionate bike enthusiast. The no1 bike shop in Bedford!

Serves great coffee but there was very unfriendly atmosphere. I wouldn't go back.

Brilliant local cycle shop. Always bend over backwards to help.

Embarrassingly for an experienced cyclist I couldn't get the old pedals off to fit my latest on line bargain. Reluctantly I went to Flamme Rough for a bit of help. Immediately on arrival I was asked if I needed help - I suppose the bike was a bit of a give away! 3 minutes later the pedals were off and the mechanic wouldn't take any money. However by then my wife had ordered coffee. As we waited the mechanic asked if I had the new pedals with me (yes) and would I like him to fit them? Yes please - again no charge.
The experience couldn't have been more friendly or helpful! Excellent service thank you. My custom will certainly be going in Flamme Rouge's directions in future

Service is professional and very friendly at the same time. All the staff are very knowledgeable experienced cyclists. The stock is comprehensive and provides something for all levels.

Unfortunately very dissatisfied with the level of service. When purchasing my bike and accessories(nearly £1300.00) they were very helpful but the assistance stopped there. I was promised the bike fully set up for me, they failed to offer this when picking the bike up! The bare minimum was done, ie put the pedals on, no action to help set seat height, saddle position, attach the expensive lights, explain the gears, never used this style levers before!, apparently you push the brake lever sideways? Wanted to support a local bike shop, as would've got a far better deal from Rutland cycles and this is how they treat you, got your money then could not care less. The bike is awesome but don't buy here if you expect reasonable assistance! If I could give zero stars or return my purchase I would - Brett Goodwin fortunately i've now found a helpful and professional bike shop, A J's near Rushden they truly know how to set a bike up properly.
Having taken in your response below, there was no hand over process, no offer of a test ride, I had to ask to try the shoes on, the woman assistant did not even know if they came with cleats! I left in absolute disgust at such abysmal service, but hey you have my money it appears your customer care stops there.

I've been cycling for 18 months and find myself with a collection of fab bikes. My most recent purchase from Flamme Rouge is brilliant. After explaining to the team what I needed the bike for I was advised on a fab little trek which ticks all the boxes. My bike was excellent value for money, came with a professional bike fit and I was invited on the weekly shop ride to test the bike.

A massive part of enjoying my ride is loving the bike. After realising that my perfect bike would come in red, rather than my preferred green, the guys at the shop swiftly sorted me with a green garmin mount, green handle bar tape and bottle cages all fitted along with mud guards. I instantly fell in love with the bike!

Apart from selling lots of shiney stuff, Flamme Rouge is a great place for coffee, cake and chat. The shop welcomes and accommodates all types of cyclists from beginners, 'choppers' (where I comfortably sit and will remain) and those that like to take things a bit more seriously. I have met and maintain friendships with like minded people who I have been introduced to through the weekly shop rides and the roller sessions that are ran through the winter. I would encourage anyone nervous about cycling or wanting to improve their confidence on the road to go on these rides as I really enjoy them.

It's very apparent that the team at the shop love what they do and are very keen to share their passion with their customers. They know, love and own the products that they sell which makes their advice second to none.

Very disappointed! Went to the shop this morning, pleased that Bedford has another dedicated specialist alongside Transition down Castle Road. As a seasoned road, MTB, E-bike commuter and BMXer, I was interested to look at the stock as I'm looking to add a CX bike to my collection. I visited when it opened 6 months back and was pleased the shop seems to have increased its stock levels. A lady came over to me and asked if I needed any help? I answered that I was just browsing. 'Oh well, I suppose you can day dream, maybe one day you might win the lottery' came the response. Great sales pitch! Shan't be returning in the future. If I could mark zero out of five stars I would. I'm not one to complain usually, but I felt most unwelcome.

I LOVE this place! The thriving cycling community in Bedford was crying out for more than just another bike shop. Flamme Rouge have nailed it - They're passionate about cycling first and foremost. And with a craft coffee and cake shop inside, they've made a drop-in home for people who simply love cycling. International cyclists rub shoulders with people who equally enjoy just being king of their local hill. Staff are down-to-earth and deeply knowledgable about bikes, parts, nutrition and improving how people ride. Including training and sports massage! it's a thriving hub of enthusiastic riders, excited newbies and deeply competitive pro riders. And it REALLY works.
