‚ö†ÔłŹ ūüöó Travel disruption...
As the Tour de Yorkshire passes right past the park tomorrow, please be aware that the A165 is going to be closed for around an hour, so there will be no access to Stonepit Lane, and therefore the park. You can check in from 12pm (tourers and tents). We would advise you to arrive in good time and avoid the traffic. The racers are expected to pass around 4.30pm and the road closed in advance of this and open again as soon as is feasible afterwards ūüöīūüŹĽ‚Äć‚ôāÔłŹ

User

Looking for somewhere to watch the Tour de Yorkshire from on Saturday? Come along and see the Decap Organ outside the Flower of May entrance, with road side viewing for the race. Or try The Plough Inn - serving drinks and food and with an outdoor play area too. ūüöīūüŹĽ‚Äć‚ôāÔłŹūüöīūüŹĽ‚Äć‚ôāÔłŹūüöīūüŹ Ľ‚Äć‚ôāÔłŹ

User

Looking for something to do this Bank Holiday Weekend? Splash in the indoor pool or play on the indoor soft multi court here at Flower of May! Or, play in the Fun Farm at The Plough which has sections for all ages!

lovely place very clean really helpful would recommend to anyone children's park pet free very clean shower and toilets cleaned regular tenting area caravans and pods very nice 5+stars

User

We loved it and the guy and lady who work on site are lovely and so helpful we will be back again soon ūüėĀ

User

Very clean place helpful staff and great entertainment recommend it to any family we will be coming back definitely

User

Very clean and tidy site, no piles of rubbish like other sites. Friendly staff. Decent shop that doesn't charge the earth. Lovely fish and chip shop and cafe. Clean toilets and showers. Kids loved the play area and pool. Can't fault the place.

Just got home from a 4 night stay and booked again for August bank holiday. We love FOM.

User

Second time we have visited The Flower of May, first time we stayed in a pod, this time in a caravan. The site is wonderful. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful, especially the maintenance guy (sorry can't remember your name) who let his fish and chip tea go cold just to sort out our TV .... We appreciated it. The caravan was spotless, the beds were made up on our arrival, with lovely clean white sheets. Really can't fault this site, we will definitely return. Thank you ÔŅĹ

Me and my family are currently staying on flambrough the lighthouse site! Couldn't thanks the team enough for today's easter egg hunt! Well organised and very inclusive! Each clue was out of the box and got children thinking! Fab job guys!!! Made our easter!

User

Just got back from 5 nights, it was a fantastic site with loads of things to do for the kids, very helpful and friendly staff and all the facilities were clean and well presented. I would highly recommend this site to anyone!!

User

Just back from a lovely break away, will definately be coming back.. The deal breaker for me was how helpful the lady who runs the cafe, shop and chippy was in dealing with my lil boys dairy allergy, storing his milk in her fridge, cooking his foods separately when we went to the chippy, and also how helpful the staff were in accommodating my eldest sons medical needs n pitching us as close to the shower blocks as possible in order to deal with my sons abdominal stoma. Also the young girl who works in the chippy was lovely, so friendly.. The kids enjoyed the park and wardens were quick on hand to deal with any disagreements between older n younger children x

User

Having had a reservation for quite some months, we decided to add another night as the weather was fab. Found that we had made an error on the original one which was rectified with no quibble. Arrived and were given a lovely warm welcome, facilities fully explained. Warden took us to our pitch and explained electricity meter, so cheap!!! We had a look round, good club house, yeah cheesy entertainment but we love cheese, if you want slick and professional go to a hotel!! Well stocked shop, chippy, SPOTLESS potwash and showers which are also free. Due to a vehicle problem with a family members car we needed to delay departure, again no quibble. Very well maintained site and convenient for everything the area has to offer. I read some reviews before we came away and was concerned, all I can say is that they didn't come to the same place as me. Rebooking straight away. Thanks to all who made our stay amazing xx

User

Had another fantastic long weekend with family camping saturday 26 - tuesday 29th may. Kids love the play area (10 year old) and pool. Facilities are always clean in the wash areas but the only thing I could suggest is getting somebody to look at the flushes on the toilets in the ladies - not sure if same in men's! Everytime I went in 3-4 toilets were always full of toilet paper or number 2's which I'm presuming was kids that went on their own and couldn't flush them. No complains though, highly recommend this site

User

Fab place for family and friends, lots to do and we like it so much we go back every year!.x

User

A new me!

On Saturday 21st Oct until Monday 23rd myself and some family members hired 2 Pods (if that’s the correct term) I was very optimistic about going at first as I’m not a huge outdoors fan and love my homely comforts I’m known as the more fussy and OCD member of our family but I decided to throw caution to the wind and go for it. After a lovely day out in Goathland on the Saturday morning we arrived late afternoon everyone awaited my comments and facial expressions.... all I’m going to say is I’m completely converted the Pod was lovely, clean and my main concern of the shower block and toilets (which was my main worry due to the OCD) was changed instantly these are clearly cleaned with great care and consideration for the customers so to all at The Flower of May you did a fab job at converting me to becoming more open about being an outdoors person. To all the staff you do an amazing job at keeping the site clean, tidy, happy and a lovely place to visit...

THANK YOU!!!! ÔŅĹÔŅĹ

We stayed for 2 night's last weekend and such a lovely holiday park. The kid's entertainment was really good both my girl's enjoyed the party games and dancing (they're still doing the Oscar club dance every night after school ). Thankyou to the Oscar club team Emily, Sarah and Sophie for making it fun and memorable weekend. We will definitely book again.

User

We parked up with our motorhome for just 2 nights, exceptionally clean site with well spaced hard standings.

If you have kids the play area is excellent and safe.

The site shop is open until 10pm on a weekend so if you need anything its open late enough.

The heated indoor swimming pool is lovely, in September closing time was around 5:30pm.

The toilet block and showers were great, lots of room, very clean and lots of hot water.

In fact the only negative i had was the electric hook up was on a meter so you had to buy cards for credit to insert, the cost was minimal but 1st time I've come across this.

User

Just back from 3 nights camping with EHU. We had a lovely few days and found the site fantastic. Pitches are a little small and very close to each other with EHU, but not a huge issue for us. The site has one of the best outdoor play areas we’ve seen so the kids really enjoyed being able to play out. There was a bit of an issue with older kids messing about on the play equipment but staff did come and speak to them. Kids entertainments was good, just what my kids enjoy. Not too busy in there or too overcrowded. We also went swimming once to the splash session. Did find this very busy as the weather wasn’t great. Changing rooms could do with cleaning more often during busy times. Camping facilities were excellent. Well kept shower and toilet block, well kept pots and pans room. First campsite we’ve paid for electric on a meter but weather wasn’t too cold at night so we only used the heater one night out of 3 and spent about £3 on the meter. Had some fish n chips which were lovely and made use of the laundrette and shop. Was pre warned by reading reviews of the need for cash onsite - the shop takes cards but need cash elsewhere. Visited the Scarborough fair collection onsite and was pleased with the half price entry for residents. All in all we had a lovely week and we hope to return in the summer.
