About Flying Frenzy Paragliding
West Dorset based Paragliding school
Flying Frenzy Paragliding Description
Flying Frenzy Paragliding ltd is a small and enthusiastic team dedicated to teaching you all the skills and knowledge you need to progress quickly and safely. We have been instructing here in West Dorset since 1993, making us the longest established paragliding school in the West Country and we take pride in giving you a straight dependable service. We are a BHPA registered school (British Hang gliding and Paragliding Association) which is your guarantee of quality. We run regular trips to Greolieres in the Alpes Maritimes, France.
Andrew Pearse
Andrew started flying when paragliding was in its infancy. He qualified as an instructor in 1990 and gained the senior instructor rating in 1993. This was the year that he moved back to Dorset and set up Flying Frenzy. Throughout the 90's Andrew was active in the national and international paragliding competition scene, coming 4th in the British Nationals in '92. Nowadays Andrew prefers to mess around on the cliffs when not out instructing and has recently started learning some of the acro moves.

Thanks Jo for the great photos. You'll be off there soon!
Yesterday Peter, after a long time and lots of practice, took the last step on the way to becoming a licenced dual pilot with his examination by BHPA technical officer Mark Shaw over on stunning Ballards down near Swanage. He did about 8 perfect flights with the smoothest possible touch downs and went through many scenarios, an exam and interview session. Gruelling but worth it! Russell kindly took some video and has created this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0dRt17Sc p4&feature=youtu.be

Those who have been to St Andre on our Autumn trips will know the road that Chrigel Maurer walked down last night. He should be at Monaco before too long today.
Muggy day here at Friar Waddon. It was off from left at Swyre hill but now off to the right here. Still it's a decent top to bottom...
I often tell my students about the need to give your take off run all you've got. I think this goes one further!
We've just received the sir Edmund race single skinned but higher preforming glider to try out. It is so light our bathroom scales didn't register!
It's that time again when you can loose a few hours each day following these human machines pushing through the alps from one end to the other...

We got the first one into the UK a few weeks back which sold before it touched the ground. We have just got the next one, soon to be used in the school. I can't wait to find out what you guys make of it!
Yesterday evening's XC weather UK actual wind chart. Pub quiz; What pressure system is nicely shown by this image?
Guernsey Paragliding Club have donated a Flychair buggy to us at Flyability. Adie Adrian Vidamour from GPC brought it and met us on Bell Hill with Andrew from Flying Frenzy Paragliding
We are getting the first BGD Magic tomorrow - their new higher A wing - always great to try a new glider and even better when it is the first one into the UK!

Friday the 10th was a stunning Friar Waddon day with some getting literally hours of airtime.
Lovely recommendation...this years flying season has truly begun!
Lovely recommendation...
What an amazing bank holiday Monday. Was it our busiest ever day? Could well have been. 2 flying sites, 4 instructors. 7 tasters, 3 EPs (all finished today!) and 5 CPs. Big thanks to my team Gary, Roy and Paul and a big well done to all our lovely clients.
