John Vincent – Director of fmcg insights

John joined fmcg insights in November 2011 as its Director, bringing over 20 years’ experience of marketing in the food and drink industry to the company.

John started his career at Nielsen Market Research analysing and presenting research information for blue-chip clients including Cola-Cola and Unilever. He went on to work for NMRA (part of the Mars Group) working with Johnson Wax and Kraft among many clients.

He then moved to work as Market Research Manager at Coca-Cola Enterprises, where he worked for 6 years providing market research analysis and answers to board directors, marketing managers and sales teams, before moving into a marketing role within the business.

John then made the bold move north to work at the famous Phileas Fogg company (when Medomsley Road, Consett was a famous address) developing the brands presence in the market, before moving to be Head of Marketing at premium soft drinks company Orchid Drinks (Aqua Libra, Purdey’s) for 4 years, before the business was acquired by Britvic in 2000.

Most recently John has been Sales & Marketing Director at Union Snack (now Intersnack Ltd) developing the baked snack market including Penn State Pretzels and Private Label baked snacks with all the major UK food retailers.

John has now returned to his market research roots, helping FMCG brand owners and retailers answer their marketing questions. His experience of brands and the retail environment combined with his analytical approach will ensure that you get quick and precise answers, combined with insight gained from working on both the client and agency side.
