A big thanks to the hard working staff for a smooth move

Thank you for all your help recently, from the first point of contact to the crew who carried out the work, we couldn't have asked for a better level of service.

Would absolutely recommend this company. Very efficient. All furniture expertly wrapped to prevent damage. Lads in uk worked hard all day to pack our belongings and lads in Spain arrived on time and unpacked very quickly. Cheaper than a lot of quotes we had. Very happy with this company

Terrible experience. Furniture was damaged and stored unprofessionally to the point that the wardrobe doors did not actually fit into a rather expensive wardrobe anymore, which is now worthless. F&N do not even bother responding to complaints. I have moved around Europe a lot and have never experienced anything like this before. I cannot recommend this company at all.

Would I move with F & N again? Maybe. Should you read this review carefully and make sure they remain accountable for both your possessions and just a bit of your sanity? Absolutely.

Moving internationally is stressful at best. F & N did not make it any easier in my experience. In some respects, it was my fault. F & N offered a cost 10% less than other removal companies, and I wanted to save the money. I suspect I paid for that in the end. I'd like to be constructive here and make sure readers (both F & N and consumers) understand what could go better. International moves must involve subcontracting. It's a necessity to hand the work from one team to the next until the goods arrive in their next home. As the client, however, I was not given a walk through (neither on the phone or email) on how this would work. That's not a problem if things go smoothly, but this was bumpy every step of the way.

Perhaps on the most egregious side, I had to redo rather extensive paperwork for every single company subcontracted in the move. I would have paid the extra %10 for this. Whereas F & N could have managed that -- for example, I had to provide copies of my identification documents to new companies that were carrying my things-- they failed to do so. I hadn't had this problem when I moved to the UK (via Rainier) from the US. But, headed out of the UK back to the US, I had to deal with each separate subcontractor's forms. In at least one instance that I'm aware of, my container missed a connection and was rerouted and I had to do new paperwork/provide new documents. This was especially upsetting because-- of course-- I wasn't at any home with access to a computer or a printer or my stuff that makes communication possible. The subcontracted shipping companies (non-English speaking, nor any language I speak) couldn't understand why I needed time to deal with the identification issue because they were used to large good shipping for companies-- not an residential move-- and a migrant in possession of few items. When I included F & N in my emails to these shippers, there was no response. By then they washed their hands of me.

They were done when their early part was over and already gone somewhat awry. On the somewhat less shocking side (my husband predicted this), there were a few problems from the start of the removal. I had 'packing' as part of my contract. I called F & N the day before my scheduled removal to make sure that this was clear; I was assured it would be fine. F & N subcontracted another company (ironically farther away than F & N from my home) that showed up unprepared to pack. They did not bring supplies. They used the supplies that I happened to have on hand-- which they deemed inferior to professional supplies. But I hadn't been planning on using them for an international move (just as donation boxes). This company couldn't finish packing everything (and I had spent that day packing--because I was stressed but hopeful that it would work out-- even though we had paid for me not to pack and not be stressed). F&N then sent their own people the following day to finish the job. These guys were excellent but showed up with a van, however, and a few things didn't fit. I didn't complain-- and I didn't want to deal with another day and a another set of removal guys. So a few belongings that were on the line went into the trash.

It looks like everything is here. And no objects are broken. Hmm...
