Could you help our animals get their five a day?
We try to vary our animals’ diets as much as possible to keep their day to day lives interesting and to keep them fit and healthy.
Next time you visit the farm, could you please bring us a pack of fruits or veges? Our staff and animals would be very grateful.
... We’re currently in need of greens, which we often use in our food enrichment. Our chickens love jumping and hopping to reach the veges!
Thank you.

We've had another update from Tigga. Our Cat Team rehomed Tigga almost 6 months ago after he had spent over a year in rescue and been returned to us multiple times. He is now well and truly settled!
"Hello, it’s Tigga here, I thought it was time to give you an update on how I am doing.
I can’t believe I have been in my new home for nearly 6 months, how time fly’s when you’re having fun!
... I have settled in really well and after a few scraps with the farm cat from down the road I have established myself as owner of Dad’s garden, and the house as well but don’t tell Dad as he thinks he owns it! My personality has come out more and more as I have got more confident. Dad is really smitten with me. I am very vocal, I talk to Dad all the time, and I now run out to meet him when he comes home. I am always so pleased to see him!
My naughty streak is still there, and I occasionally take a swipe at Dad if I am on the worktop, but I am only playing, and Dad now knows exactly how to deal with me. He ignores my bad behavior and turns his back on me, which I hate, but I have quickly learnt how to get Dad’s attention, scratching the furniture works well as does knocking the flowers over on the dining room table!
At Christmas I was really pleased when one of Dad’s customers sent us a big box of fresh vegetables. I was in the box before Dad even had a chance to unpack it. Dad said it was typical he spent a small fortune on a comfy bed for me and I preferred the box! If you look carefully at the photo you can see my tail on the cabbages and the broccoli!
I have now met quite a few of Dad’s friends. I like them and they seem to like me, some even bring me treats. I don’t mind a bit of bribery!
I must say I am a bit fed up with this wet and windy weather. If it gets too bad Dad shuts the cat flap and keeps me in, which I am not happy about, but I know he is only doing it because he is worried I will get hurt, but that doesn’t stop me sulking.
I don’t like Dad working when I am in doors so I lay on his paperwork or laptop which tends to stop him. I am very reluctant to move and this is another time when I have been known to have a pop at Dad, but only because I want his attention. I don’t see why his customers have to take up so much of his time.
Anyway, I think that’s about all my news, I must rush now as I am supervising the fitting out of Dad’s new workshop. I have found a good spot where I can see everything that is going on. There is still quite a bit to do and I have a list of tasks for Dad including making sure the workshop is Tigga friendly.
Hope you are all well at Foal Farm, sending you lots of love
Tigga x"

Happy Caturday! 🐱
This week we are featuring 1 year old Storm.
Storm found her way to Foal Farm as a stray. We have no history for this girl, but in the time that she has been with us she has proven herself to be very friendly.
... She enjoys a fuss and we hope that her big personality will earn her the perfect home soon.
Storm needs to be the only animal in the home. She can possibly live with older children subject to introductions.
If you are interested in rehoming Storm, please fill out an application form today:

If Storm isn't the girl for you, please SHARE.

Here she is with one of our dedicated volunteer dog walkers Linda, who perhaps isn’t enjoying the weather quite as much!

Have you ever thought about adopting a Skinny dog?
Here at Foal Farm we always have a few to choose from. Many are greyhounds from the racing industry. These dogs have not always been well cared for and have often been used for people’s entertainment, something that we are very much against and would urge our supporters against funding this sport.
Greyhounds are very affectionate and often lazy dogs who enjoy sleeping most of the day away. There is a common misconception th...

CHARITY SHOP VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Having recently refurbished our off site charity shop in Biggin Hill we are now seeking more volunteers.
The charity shop is open Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm. Duties include sorting and pricing donations, manning the till and answering customer queries.
... Volunteering in our charity shop is a great way to help Foal Farm, especially if you can't commit to the often more laborious work and animal care which takes place at the farm. You will also make new friends with a similar interest in helping animals!
Our charity shop is a very important source of funding, helping us to feed and medicate our animals. We are looking for some passionate, friendly people who will fit in well with our already dedicated team.
If you can lend a hand, please apply by emailing us at volunteering@foalfarm.org.uk. Please put "Charity Shop" in your email subject so that we can fast track your application.
Please note that we are experiencing technical difficulties with our online application form!
If you can't help on this occasion, please share!

We’ve been nominated for a 2020 Petplan and ADCH Animal Charity Award!
We’ve been nominated because of our commitment to outstanding animal welfare and we couldn’t be prouder.
Our staff are in love with their work. We are here come rain or come shine working with often difficult and emotional neglect cases, but we won’t stop smiling! Because each day we come to work knowing that we make a difference. And what could be more rewarding than helping those in need? ❤️

Please dig deep for one of our amazing supporters Olivia, who is kindly running the 2020 London Marathon in aid of Foal Farm Animal Rescue.
As many of our supporters know, we rely entirely on donations from individuals and a handful of kind companies, schools and community groups. It is only through people coming together to make the world a better place for animals that we are able to continue saving lives.
Please show Olivia your support by donating today.

Mr Mogs has been in his new home for a month now and he is of course, being well and truly spoiled!
Here he is tucking into a special doggie cake at a café. It's good to see that he has stayed true to his one passion in life: food!

We have a number of sweethearts to share with our followers this Wetnose Wednesday!
Today we are talking Big Dogs! Have you ever thought of homing a big dog? We have several big dogs here that would love to make your family complete.
Big dogs often have massive hearts and are very soft and gentle. They can really complete a family home.
... Our big dogs here at Foal Farm have all got their own personalities.
Rebel is a big softie who needs a loving home to understand his separation issues. He is the sweetest dog with the kindest nature and is very much loved here at Foal Farm, but he deserves a home of his own.
Floss is a lovely girl. She can be strong but is easily walked on a head collar. She has a lovely temperament and is a very affectionate girl.
Zara is a beautiful, smiley lady with lots of love to give in her twilight years. She just needs a family to love her.
Guinness is a gentle older gentleman who needs someone who is home a lot as he doesn’t like being left alone We will offer support to a family who would like to offer him a home to tackle this issue.
Rufus is a big fella who has lots of affection to give and is a joy to spend time with. He needs a home where he can have short walks and just enjoy his last years in peace and quiet as he has not had an easy life at all.
For specific information on each dog then please visit our website:

The horses, ponies and donkeys are in again early today due to the nasty weather and the mud.

Louisa, now known as Lou, Blackberry, now known as Boo and Eddie have been in their new home for 4 weeks!
We're told that they've made themselves at home and are definitely part of the family already. Lou and Boo have turned out to be proper cuddles bugs and Eddie is still coming around to the idea of regular fussing.
This trio had a difficult start in life and we're really pleased to have homed them all together so that they can continue being the best of friends.
