We visited Folds Farm Camping for a couple of nights mid week following a recommendation from a friend last year. Victoria was lovely and very helpful from giving us detailed information on the area to chatting with my 6 year old daughter about her day!! Will be visiting again next year hopefully for a longer weeks stay. The campsite and facilities were clean and well looked after and Victoria even visited one evening to check everything was ok. 5 stars would definitely recommend

We stayed for 1 night and were greeted by very friendly owners who will help in any way possible. The facilities were more than adequate and well looked after including warm showers, washing up area and toilets spread around the site. The little shop they have on site came in very useful for us on this occasion, bbq food and even bricks for our little bbq. Plenty of places to walk about and explore.

If your planning to book I would recommend going directly through them and not an online middle man as they don't seem to be up to date with do's and don't and are by far easier to deal with. Will def be going back to this site in the future

We have literally just arrived home today from 6 days at Folds Farm, Me, husband 2 kids aged 9 and 10 yrs.

We absolutely loved this place. We stayed Monday to Saturday and can honestly say we saw the site In all its glory, from the beauty and peace of the mid week to the hustle and bustle of the wk end festival atmosphere. We had terrible rain and beautiful sunshine and the site was glorious in both sunshine and downpour.

I was a little apprehensive at first not being used to camping without marked pitches and the portaloo's however I really didn't need to be as the site is managed wonderfully, we found a lovely place to set up and had plenty of space and never felt cramped at any point even as the weekend approached and the site became busy. The toilets and showers were exceptionally clean and the staff worked RELENTLESSLY day and night keeping the place spotless, even in the bad weather I.e. endless rain the staff were constantly mopping up mud in the loo's and showers to ensure they were clean. The showers were wonderfully hot and at no point did they run out of hot water when we were there.

The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and were so helpful and went above and beyond to ensure everyone was happy and comfortable.

The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves and even commented whilst visiting sandy balls that they prefer "their field".

There's a nice little pub literally 2 mins along the lane and plenty of ponies and donkeys wandering about which again the kids really liked. We rarely went off site simply because we were all so happy there but there is plenty to see and do in the area as well if you wish.

Having camped for years now and visited all manner of campsites folds farm is up there at top of my list of one we will most certainly return to time and time again. We will be back. Thank you for a lovely week.

We have just spent 7 nights at folds farm and we absolutely loved it! Perfect site for us! Very friendly staff always on site and if Victoria was going off site she would ride around first to check noone needed anything..the toilets and showers were always cleaned even tho they were only portaloos..we could have a camp fire every night and they sold wood..zero light pollution so we got a great view of the stars at night..plenty of space to pitch our tent and park car without feeling crowded even when it got busy for the bank holiday..a pizza van came and sold wood fired pizzas..they even hired a bouncy castle for the kids for the bh oh and they gave out pic n mix to all children on arrival and sold ice creams..could use the freezer to refreeze ice blocks..I could go on all day haha..we will definitely be returning again next year!

User

We have just spent 1 night on this site but could have happily spent longer. Very friendly owners and lovely friendly atmosphere on the site. Portaloos were always clean and we really enjoyed having the fire pit in the evening. The bag of sweets for the children on arrival is a lovely idea too .

It is also great that it is so close to Sandy Balls campsite and you can use their facilities, our little boy really enjoyed the pool and the adventure parks there.

Thank you, we will be back next year!

User

We have just left from spending 3 nights here & highly recommend this site.It was perfect for our family of 5, quiet, clean and friendly, staff were very nice & helpful. Excellent location. We will definitely be returning.

User

We came back yesterday from a great long weekend at Folds Farm! Lovely campsite, in a great situation (Fordingbridge is lovely and just a short drive away!), friendly staff and good facilities! Ignore the last few bad reviews....these were not nice guests. They broke the biggest camping rule....got drunk, aggressive and noisy in the middle of the night! We’ll be back next year!

User

We arrived the day the campsite opened and had a lovely welcome from Victoria and team. We stayed for 4 nights and had a fantastic stay! The facilities were basic but very clean and all we needed for that authentic camping experience!! Victoria and her team could not have been more helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed the pizzas on Friday night and were sad to leave on Saturday. We hope to be back next year!

Our 2nd year at this wonderful gem of a site. Only stayed 2 nights last year and wished we'd stayed longer so had a 4 night stay this time. Fantastic, friendly owners, great local pub 2 minutes walk away, plenty of walks and wildlife straight from the site and Sandy Balls 5 minutes down the pathway. The kids also took off to the woods at the other end of the field to play on the rope swings.

Portaloos are always stocked and clean and the showers are lovely and hot.

Unfortunately, like last year, we seemed to bring the rain with us for the first couple of days but there's plenty of places to visit all within a reasonable drive. We promise to bring the SUN with us next time!

See you next year!

Just come back from a family weekend at folds farm , was initially shocked at the £40 per night fee for our motorhome and awning seeing as there was no electric , but after staying on the site it made up for it , the loos are only porta loos but were kept extremely clean , the owners were very friendly even if we were told we were making too much noise at night time , we apologise for that , the site offered pizzas on Friday and breakfast in the mornings , the site had a real family atmosphere and we loved the fact fellow campers joined in our games of rounders , cricket and badminton made it a really enjoyable weekend . The owners weren't too bothered what time we left so we made the most of our stay Thankyou so much and it is a shame your site isn't open all year , hope to come back sometime ( if you'll have us )

User

Just back from our first camping trip and couldn't have had a better introduction. The ladies were so welcoming and worked tirelessly at keeping the toilets and camp clean and fresh for us. They had a little shop which was stocked up and the hire of the fire pits meant a wonderful evening experience with toasted marshmallows. Our boys are 4 and 9 and we felt completely safe with them running around the site playing with the other children. Thanks so much, We will see you again next year! X

User

Just back from a great 5 night stay at Folds Farm. The campsite is in a great location, fantastic for kids & easy access to Sandyballs. Victoria who runs the site is lovely couldn’t do enough for you. Don’t let the negative reviews put you off, there was a domestic incident on Saturday night which was out of Victoria’s control so the police had to be called. It’s such a shame when you get inconsiderate people camping that can’t control their drink & have no regard for others around them. This could happen on any site but the main thing was they were dealt with appropriately & removed from the site.

This was my 2nd time at this site & we all had such a great time we’ll definitely be back next year. Thank you Victoria for making our stay an enjoyable one.

User

I cannot praise this site enough. Arrived Sunday to such a warm welcome from Victoria - throughout my entire stay Victoria and Gareth more than meet any needs we had, nothing was too much hassle. Happily spent days at the tent with the open space for the kids to play, not hemmed in as pitches not set out. Clean toilets (portoloos) and warm clean showers. Fantastic to have camp fires every night (albeit we failed the last night and needed assistance - sorry Victoria ). Families staying there were friendly and kids got involved playing together.

Victoria and co make this campsite what it is - wonderful, I can't wait to go back. Can safely I relaxed like I hadn't done in a long time and was very much needed! Thank you guys - enjoy the rest of the season and see you next year. Gem X

Great week at Folds Farm Camping despite some rainy weather! We visited as a family of four, with two teenagers and were worried we wouldn't have anything to do and I'm glad to say we couldn't have been more wrong! We saw hundreds of donkeys, ponies and cows and on our way home pigs and piglets! We went on the open top bus (2 routes), visited Sandyballs (arcade and pub), visited all the local towns, had a few camp fires and BBQs, played dominoes, visited the local pub ( 2 min walk away) to sample their food and drink. We have been camping as a family for 8 years and wanted to try something different this year and we were not disappointed, Victoria and Emma and not forgetting Buddy were fantastic always cheery and helpful whatever the weather , we had a slight problem with some noisy neighbours and this was dealt with promptly and we will be back next August. Just a final note would recommend the pizza's on a Friday night they were lovely and what a fantastic set up that was and lovely staff! Once again thank you Folds Farm Camping

Great 4 day stay, perfect for families. Victoria the owner is lovely and we can’t wait to book in next year!

User

Friendly, helpful owners. Lovely location. Portaloos cleaned every 2 hours and located around the site. Portacabin showers powerful and warm. Washing up facilities. Plenty of drinking water taps.

Best bits - stars at night were amazing! No light pollution at all! Lovely location on the edge of the New Forest - easy drives to beaches at Bournemouth and Milford on Sea.

Not so good bits - we didn’t appreciate how hilly the site was. Not so much of an issue mid-week, but when busier at the weekend, other pitches were close as everyone took advantage of gently sloped areas.

As a group of two families including 4 adults, 5 kids age 2-7, and 3 dogs, we loved the friendly, relaxed atmosphere! We were there over the weekend that has produced the bad reviews. We heard nothing. Staff were friendly and approachable. We’d recommend for families and those with dogs.

Finally getting round to writing this review!! We visited this campsite 3 times this year! It is so lovely!!

Great hospitality, clean porta loos, washing up facilities, open fires!! and lovely warm showers. Victoria took our oldest (only 4) and friends under her wing and had them trained as helpers! Didn't see much of my girl and she cried when we left. Would say it felt very safe to let kids run around which for me is a big big plus!!

Pizza on a Friday and breakfast if you fancy. Pub up the road (ok food with lots of choices), lots of horses and donkeys outside. Lovely walks and close to town.

It is also very close to sandy balls (5min walk) so we enjoyed the pool but happy to leave the site and enter our lovely field. Would highly recommend to anyone!! Thank you!! We will be back!! Xxx

User

Fantastic camp site. Warm friendly welcome, toilets and showers very good, beautiful location, excellent on site staff who were friendly, helpful and their knowledge of the local area helped us find some lovely places. Haven’t been camping for years but now I’ve got the bug again and it’s all thanks to this little gem. Would highly recommend!

User

Booked and stayed here fairly last minute for a night and SO glad we found it!! Perfect site in beautiful surroundings, lovely friendly owner / staff who made us feel really welcome straight away. It's rare to find such a relaxed site these days, less emphasis on rules and more emphasis on a chilled, enjoyable atmosphere. It's obviously a very popular site, as it was busy, but lovely to see so much fun being had by all. Toilets & showers spotlessly clean and a well stocked shop. Lovely pub a few mins walk away serving nice food- can't ask for more! Thanks for having us, we will be back! Victoria, happy birthday again, hope you enjoyed it, and Emma, hope you get a good sleep tonight! xx
