About Folkestone Karate And Martial Arts Club
Folkestone Karate and Martial Arts Club is one of the longest standing karate clubs in Folkestone, being established for over 20 years.
Folkestone Karate And Martial Arts Club Description
Classes are traditional, disciplined and serious with a very positive attitude towards the student, but we also make the classes fun, friendly and enjoyable for everyone.
There is a good mixture of karate students in all the classes at the club, including boys, girls, teenagers, men and women of all experience levels from new students to the many black belts that train here on a regular basis.
The classes are structured following a Kyokushin grading syllabus and are very practical, incorporating all aspects of karate and martial arts such as self defence, karate techniques, kata, fitness and stamina, flexibility, awareness and confidence building, earning coloured karate belts, bag work, non-contact karate sparring, full-contact karate sparring and kick boxing.
Both the child and adult karate classes are held in the Ambition Hall at the East Kent College, a large and well lit training facility for karate.
