With our new store in Prestwich opening a week tomorrow (eeek!) we've had lots of lovely new followers to our page (welcome everyone!). So, here is a quick summary to tell you a little more about our independent travel business…
WHO ARE WE? 🧳... My name is Mia and I have been running Footprint Travel for the last 3 years, along with my Dad, Steve, who lives in Kent. Up until now, our business has been based at home, helping our clients find and book amazing holidays, and taking away all the hard work and stress of booking travel.
WHAT DO WE SELL? 🌎 We sell package holidays all around the world. We sell holidays from operators you may know (like Kuoni, Thomas Cook, Intrepid, Jet2 and Royal Caribbean, for example) but have contracts with hundreds of operators, so we use our network to find you the holiday that best fits your brief. We have full ATOL protection on all package holidays we sell.
DOES IT COST MORE TO USE A TRAVEL AGENT? 💰 We don't charge a fee for our services and we only work with suppliers who give us price parity on holidays. So you'll pay the same price as booking direct, but you get someone to do it for you, hassle-free. What’s not to like!?
DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIALITIES? ⭐️ We can book pretty much anything – from far-flung honeymoons to short weekend breaks (and even UK breaks and attractions). We would say our speciality is in tailor-made travel (complicated multi-centre itineraries you can't really book online) and we book lots of holidays to the Far East, USA, Indian Ocean and Australia. We also love planning wellbeing and activity holidays, touring holidays, food and drink tours and anything with a specialist interest.
WHEN IS FOOTPRINT TRAVEL OPENING? 📅 Our official opening will be Friday 17th and Saturday 18th May. Please feel free to pop in and join us for a glass of fizz and a slice of cake to toast our new home. We have prizes to give away and everyone who comes in and leaves their details will go into the draw (plenty of goodies to be won, from bottles of wine to holiday vouchers).
