Footsteps after school Club in Dosthill had a special visit from Tony who used to be in the RAF.
He was able to tell the children about experiences and life in the RAF. Tony also bought in photos of himself as a young man, and answered all of their questions and showed the children his medals.
Many thanks for your time Tony, it was most appreciated by all at Footsteps.

Footsteps at Dosthill went to their offsite forest school recently, to link in with bonfire night. The children are taught the safety aspects of fires before the activity could begin.
For this activity, the children experienced fire, cycle time. They watched as the fire was built and lit and the children could see the changing colours as the flames danced around.
The children were amazed and enjoyed the warmth of the fire whilst they had a camp fire story.

Footsteps nursery in Stafford launched their new science club.
Dr Test-tube made his debut appearance in the Pre-school room and conducted some science experiments. These included, making rocket fuel using bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar, which nicely linked into Space week. The children then made rocket ships using junk modelling materials.
Also our toddler room have been making paper mache planets ready to paint to continue with space week.
... Movers have been also been making rocket ships and painted them as their large group activity.
All the children thoroughly enjoyed these activities and Dr Test Tube got the thumbs up from all the children.

Footsteps Nurseries at Lichfield Road, Tamworth organised a sponsored walk for St Giles Hospice and Children with Cancer UK charities.
We invited all the staff, parents, carers and children to join us on the walk from our nursery around Coton Green, Leyfields and the town centre area then back to the nursery.
We completed just under a 5 mile walk using our turtle bus to so that the children could also join in, with a few buggies also in tow.
... A big thank you to all for organising and those who attended on the day and to help fund raise, as this event raised £250.00 for the charities.

Footsteps at Fazeley held a Grandparents afternoon tea.
We opened one of our rooms to all the grandparents and their grandchildren with a range of activities to explore together, along with refreshments, biscuits and cakes!
It was lovely to see such a fantastic turn out, and so many lovely new faces joined us.
... Thank you all for coming, and also the help of the parents bringing families to attend the event.

It's a busy time of year for the after school children at Footsteps Holiday Club at Dosthill.
The children had lots of fun picking their own apples last week, fresh off the tree!
The children were shown how to reach and pick the apples off and wrap to keep fresh.

Last Friday Footsteps nursery in Stratford had a Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise money for this fantastic charity.
They held a bake sale in reception with cakes made by our own staff and parents and raised a total of £201.00.
Some of the children also enjoyed visiting local businesses to sell the left over cakes.
... A big thank you to all that helped with making cakes and contributed to the coffee morning.

The children in Pre-School at Walmley worked very hard this week in their art class, and some budding artists were revealed.
The children joined in group discussions about what artists used sun flowers to paint and looked at some of their work for example, Vincent Van Gogh. They helped to select the colours they needed and used real sun flowers to paint.
Also, in our photography club the children took their own photos of the sun flowers using our ICT equipment.

Our Rising 3’s at Footsteps Nurseries in Cannock enjoyed a Disney day.
All the children and staff dressed up as their favourite Disney characters, from bringing in their story books, they all looked amazing and thoroughly enjoyed this dressing up event.

We will forever be grateful to footsteps for how our baby has grown. It is all down to the dedication of the amazing staff. They are all so lovely and I'm gutted Hollie has to move on as she loves it so much. Couldn't recommend the nursery more. A special mention to Chloe as Hollie has already said how much she misses and loves her. Thank you for everything

Over the past 4 years Footsteps has helped my boys thrive. We have been at Walmley since it’s first day, after a year at Canwell. Today was my little one’s last day and we are so grateful for all of the staff who have nurtured and cared for both Isaac and Eli. They have always loved going to nursery, so thank you for such a positive experience.
