Footwork Dance School

The Footwork Dance School is based in Chelmsford, Essex, with classes for children and adults, special needs and performing groups. Dance parties, venue hire, rehearsal space and private lessons are also available by request.

The teachers:

Jean - Principal
Jean is a qualified examiner with the United Kingdom Alliance (UKA) dance society in Blackpool and has been training pupils for exmainations for 30 years, with 100% pass rate! After performing in various TV programmes and London shows, Jean first set the school up in East London, and moved to Chelmsford in 1995. She now specialises in teaching disability dance groups, who alongside Footwork perform at various locations throughout the year.

Sarah - Teenage jazz

Stephanie - Ballet and Performing group
Stephanie trained at Ballet West, studying BA Classical Ballet and Dance Performance, RAD. She also passed her Advanced 2 RAD ballet examination with merit! Her performance experience includes two tours of China, four tours of Scotland, and is currently rehearsing for the paralympics opening ceremony!

Jade - Jazz, Ballet, Tap
Jade has just finished at Colchester Institute, completing an extended national diploma in dance, receiving a merit, merit, distinction. She is now excited to say that she will be continuing her training at London Theatre School doing a 2 year performance course.

Alise
Alise studied at The Dance College in Royston gaining her DDI and DDE teaching qualifications. Having danced with footwork since the age of 2, she then went on to teach ballet, tap, modern and jazz. In 2010 Alise moved out to Dubai and is currently teaching out there, coming back to teach workshops in the school holidays.
