Norfolk Farmer John Wootton and his partner, Claire Brutnall, gave up the plough and teamed up to form an exciting new venture in natural stone.

A vision for design sprang from this dynamic and creative couple and almost a decade later, Foras has become an award-winning business that presents customers with an exclusive range of natural stone Garden accessories, flooring and tiles to dress country homes, city terraces and courtyards.

Our focus is to develop new products and our range is ever-evolving from designs which began as sculptures to innovative water features. Foras is inspired by nature, and its name derives from the Italian meaning for ‘outside’. As a local, family-run business, Foras developed one of its most versatile collections by taking inspiration from surrounding Norfolk villages.

The hows and whereabouts…

The former Tulip Barn at West Head Farm in West Norfolk has been transformed into a stylish showroom set in over ten thousand square metres of landscaped gardens. John and Claire have created a cosy browsing experience for the customer in a stunning setting, complete with comfortable sofas, refreshments and a welcoming log burner – it truly is a home from home. There is also a consulting area for discussion with clients about their design project whether it be landscaping or flooring.

Claire and Johns designs materialise after countless exploration of natural sources, executing the highest quality of products offering both form and function. We have the largest display of interior and exterior natural stone in Norfolk. Our commitment to customer service and quality of products is our highest priority. Our experienced staff are highly trained in all our product ranges and on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Foras is an RHS Gold medal award winning company for its garden accessories. We are extremely proud of our achievements at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

What the future holds…

The Foras team has expanded over the last year and we are delighted to announce the opening of a new studio and garden in Burnham Market, North Norfolk. This will showcase our beautiful designs in a fully renovated 16thC former Coaching Inn with a great history of its own.
