The quickest way to search for all things second hand. The best of preloved in one place. Many people are facing financial struggles due to COVID, job losses and rising energy prices. We also have a huge environmental issue globally due to an increasing volume of landfill. Many of these items can be re-used in its current state or with a few minor repairs. I lost a job during COVID due to this lack of income and needing a garden furniture I was drawn to the second-hand market. The problem was it took weeks to find the item which was in my area due to the volume of second-hand marketplaces. I thought there must be a quicker way! I created Foreowned, a search engine app for second-hand goods. Instead of searching for second-hand items via all the different platforms typing and retyping the item, location, price etc into the online forms now you can enter the item once and Foreowned will search all the marketplaces for you. For years my hobby has been upcycling furniture. I love to find second-hand bargains as it has helped during periods of hardship. I believe I am well suited to this business because I am a large proportion of my market. I have experienced the frustrations of trying to buy and sell second-hand goods only to find that I have missed an item due to it being on a different second-hand marketplace. I love technology and developed a prototype app for a University.
