Formby Maritime Cadets

The Maritime Cadets is a National Youth Organisation promoting adventurous activities for Cadets aged 8-18.

Who we are and what we do.

We are a uniformed charitable organisation which aims to improve the lives of young people through a wide range of nautical activities. The Maritime Cadets base their customs and traditions on the Merchant and Royal Navy. Cadets will advance through a rank structure which they will achieve by following the core nautical training programme. They will also have the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications.

Navy Cadets.

Are you aged 11 - 18 looking for a new challenge? From kayaking to cook steward, drill to offshore sailing, powerboating to engineering, we have the activity for you. You will have the opportunity to climb your way up the ranks, gaining qualifications as you go, all whilst making lifelong friends. Not only will you have fun, but you will gain self confidence, giving you a head start in life.

Junior Cadets.

Are you aged 8-11 looking for an adventure? The junior cadets is all about fun and friendship. You will learn all the basic skills to prepare yourself to become a full Navy Cadet. Not only will you interact with cadets from Formby Unit, but with cadets from all over the UK! Create a lifetime of exciting memories and discover a new talent.
