FORM + FUNCTION CIC is a new, one-of-its kind, change-making creative studio in Portsmouth. We're proud to be a Community Interest Company (CIC) and happy to be part of the membership body Social Enterprise UK (SEUK) which supports "business for good"We aim to inspire and engage communities to create cohesion in breaking down barriers, undermine prejudices and stereotypes. Giving people and artists the opportunity to show that social injustice can be challenged, and empower people to bring about change collectively and individually. We know collaboration is the cornerstone of innovation and are proud to have an ever-growing 'little black book' of artists, illustrators, architects, digital demigods, producers, makers and construction experts in Portsmouth and across the UK. Our work follows these four key principles: ATTRACTWe improve forgotten about or neglected spaces to encourage community and public safety with art. ENGAGEWe instigate conversations around and raise awareness of local and global humanitarian issues. CONNECTWe build communities which become stronger than the sum of our individual parts. INSPIREWe show that creativity is broad and beautiful and can be a powerful force for good.
