Very impressed been there twice now and both times very efficient and quick

Had travelled from Yorkshire and on arrival to Cambridge noticed a problem with one of the tyres. No appointment made just drove in and was seen straight away. To our relief it was a leaking valve so £21 and half an hour later all done. Very honest and down to earth staff. Would highly recommend.

They got my car battery in just over an hour and where able to fit it in just 15 mins at an affordable price

I had an issue and got a bit sulky. But credit where it's due, it was sorted out quickly, efficiently and politely and I'm very happy with the outcome.

UPDATE ON ORIGINAL POST: I definitely didn’t need the work doing that they said. They said I needed 3 tyres, I replaced 2 and said I would sort the other one out. I had my car serviced again recently and guess what no new tyres needed.... funny as I hadn’t even replaced the 3rd one they said I needed to. It had loads of tread left.

SO AVOID AT ALL COSTS � plus my brakes are very squeaky since they changed them. SHAME ON YOU HISTON ROAD GARAGE



I normally rate this garage highly but on this occasion I can’t. I paid for a full service and MOT and now actually doubt I needed all the work they said I needed doing on my car considering it was fairly new. After driving it around for a couple of months I went to squirt the windscreen and no water! I hadn’t hardly used it since the service, so not impressed. This garage tested my patience and my sanity. It took an ENTIRE MONTH to get an MOT from these people. In order to break down the lies, inefficiency and disregard I experienced, I would like possible future customers to know what you will deal with when you are dealing with this garage.



3rd February - I left my car with them for the day to have a Master Service. They said my car was in good condition and suggested superficical repairs, which I agreed to.

10th February - my car was meant to have its mot on this day. However, I was contacted on the 9th to indicate the technician who did mot tests was ill and would not be in. I rescheduled for the 24th.

24th February - Despite being sick as hell with a burning temperature, I left the car at the garage for the mot. As usual the garage said they would call me. But they never did. I arrived at the garage at 4pm believing I was going to pick up my car with no issues. However, I arrived to be told the car needed extensive repairs to the rear brake system. I then had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes while they did most of the repair work. They pointed the damage to the rear brakes to me. This didn’t help their case because the master service is meant to examine the condition of all breaks and they somehow missed this?? I arranged to bring the car back on 1st March for the final repair. Time was running out on my mot and I wanted it to be fixed that morning first thing before I went to work. Richard told me that would not be an issue.

1st March - arrived and was told by another gentleman that the repair would take all day and acted ignorant when I reminded him of what Richard had told me. So I arranged to bring it back in on 3rd March. No apologies or explanation was offered.

3rd March - I brought it in first thing at 08:30 and was told it would take all day to do this one repair. I told them that was unacceptable considering how they had wasted my time already and I needed the car to fulfill other personal obligations I had that day. As usual, they lied and said they would call me. They never did. I called them twice. When I arrived at the garage to pick it up, my car was still on the ramp and it took them an extra 15 Minutes to move my car back out to the road. During this time, they left my car engine running because why not? They wasted my time and money, so why not waste my petrol??



Needless to say I will never take my car back to this garage. They lied to me, wasted my time and apparently expected me to do all the work that they are meant to do (such as keeping the customers informed of what the hell is going on). They also are above apologies or prioritising you if they have messed you around. I would rather break my back pushing the car to another garage than deal with these people ever again.



If you get a “master” service with these people, they either don’t do it properly or lie to you when they give you the results. It isn’t worth the money. If you get an mot and need your car for your work, expect it to take several attempts to get done because these people don’t focus on your car with any sense of urgency or decency.
