Some fabulous pictures from the final destination for the Forrester Park Wreath in Ypres. 🌹 You’ll be pleased to hear the wreath survived the journey and was laid at Menin Gate under the lists of over 54,000 names 🏛 The sound of the bugler’s rendition of The Last Post at 8pm was reportedly both humbling and overwhelming; remembering all those who have given their lives for our freedom. 🎺 A moving experience too was visiting Tyne Cot (picture 4) which was the site of the Battle of Passchendaele in 1917; we can only imagine how different it would have looked back then. It is now more than ever that we remember, lest we forget.

With only a little sprinkling of rain in the late afternoon, it was a beautiful day here today!! ☀️ The sun was in the sky and there was plenty of people out on the course. We hope everyone from the King’s Arms Golf Society enjoyed their day today; glowing comments on the course and especially the beef stew afterwards! 🏌️‍♂️ Plus, as the sun sank below the trees, it sure was a pretty end to the day. As the wreath makes its journey to Ypres, we have the honour of having the Great Totham Solitary Soldier here after being displayed on the Promenade last night. 🌹 Humbling to read all the messages and names on the soldier. Feel free to come down and have a look and add any names of those who served in the armed forces. 🖊

We held our wedding reception here in August, sorry Katie for the late review! I don't know where to beginning...Katie is absolutely amazing and was so helpful, cannot thank her enough for everything she did. ALL staff here are polite and helpful, again cannot say enough wonderful things about them. Our whole day went smoothly and I don't think it would have been the day it was without their help & hard work. They made us feel very relaxed so we could enjoy our day with family & friends. I would recommend Forresters to anyone for any occasion not just weddings. The grounds are beautiful as well. Thank you Forresters for making our day so special, it was completely perfect and wouldn't have wanted to hold it anywhere else.

Katie was extremely helpful in answering any questions even if they were stupid, always quick to reply and ensuring I was always happy and also setting up lots of viewings. The staff on the day were absolutely fantastic, so kind ans helpful and really made everyone feel comfortable. We are still having compliments on all of the canapes and BBQ food now and for good reason - it was delicious! We was lucky enough that the weather was on our side as the outdoor ceremony area is beautiful as are all of the surroundings! Our day was perfect and we cannot thank Katie and the Forresters team enough.

We got married Saturday, and we had the best day ever, so pleased with everything, Katie you are a true credit to forresters and you are brilliant at your job, you coped so professionally with all my questions and queries and can't thank you and all the staff enough, the venue was perfect when we arrived and we felt so welcome and comfortable all night.

We both highly recommend forresters to anyone wanting to get married there.

Our wedding here last Saturday was truly magical thanks to Katie and all the staff.

Katie ensured everything went to plan and was always available to answer any questions. The food was amazing and we have had several comments from our guests about how much that enjoyed the food. The wine waiters were constantly topping up glasses at the meal and the whole dinner service was fantastic.

The whole day was fantastic and went by with no hitches or problems this is in no small measure due to the staff at Forrester Park who's professionalism and care throughout the whole day was second to none. They made sure all mine and my Wife's needs were met as well as ensuring all of our guests were cared for. The Wedding breakfast was lovely and served with a smile. My band frog on a rocket and I played upstairs last night. We do an awful lot of functions... and sometimes we get treated appallingly by staff etc... but we have never been treated so well as we were last night by Katie and her team! Nothing was too much trouble the staff were attentive and professional and kept everything running to time!! The food was amazing and the venue beautiful! Thanks so much! Hope we get another function here as it was an absolute joy! Annie x

Your courtesy and kindness were a real credit to you. The many Belgians who came were overwhelmed by the whole experience and have never encountered such friendliness, service and kindness.
