What can we say...... we had planned a quiet night away but what a fantastic night we have had. Couldn't have felt more welcome. The staff were amazing and the locals. We will defo be back later in the year. Thank you so much for making a tuff time in our lives amazing

We love going to stay at the Forresters, both food and hospitality are always fantastic, going back in April for my birthday weekend, the New Year's Eve meal was fantastic, thankyou Frank and staff.

We had a lovely stay and the food was excellent especially the French onion soup, the best I have ever had 👍

Was at the forresters last night with my boyfriend glenn. We went for the french pancake night and they were totaly amazing ate every little bit and the hosts franc and joe were warm friendly and very welcoming will definately go bk again

Re-visited for a lovely 2 day stay, what a great bargain, the breakfast is just superb as is all the food, we will continue to visit for a relaxing break as we have for a number of years now.

Our second visit was on Easter Sunday (forgot to review our first visit a couple years ago) - both times were fab & I would highly recommend Forresters. Despite arriving 50 minutes after the lunch service had ended, we were warmly accommodated. Food was hot, fresh and delicious... with the excellent customer service a bonus!

One night into our stay at the forresters and all I can say is bloody fantastic. The place itself, the room and the friendly atmosphere are great, but the food, the food it to just die for. Me and her indoors were blown away by the quality of the meals in the resteraunt last night!!! The tapas style starter, the Melt in your mouth beef, and even the chips were out of this world!!!



We haven't even left yet, but we will be back....

Had a gorgeous lunch today here - Gougère Ratatouille. Lovely wine & handmade chocolates with great coffee . Lovely restaurant , lovely service . Will be back for dinner - lots of choice . A little slice of France in Teesdale �

Great service, fantastic food and very large portions. To top it off, homemade individual chocolates. Well worth the money!

Great food & service just sometimes the bar can be crowded. Been a number of times and never been disappointed puddings are the best in the area.

Good grub. Good beer. Good place.

Brilliant night on the 17 Nov, Superb 5 course meal with good wine and great service from Dan and Franck. Would recommend food to every body.

Had a wonderful Beaujolais evening , food delightful, as usual and a lovely atmosphere with people enjoying the ambience and good service

The last four times we have travelled here we have not been served. Once the doors were shut well after the opening. And once lunch had ended despite the sign saying food sereved all day and yet again the today..... no food left apparently. If my husband didn't like it here I would refuse to ever try it again.
