Forty Years On

About Forty Years On

Forty Years On is an archive, oral history and theatre project run in partnership by Eastern Angles and Vivacity which explores Peterborough’s expansion since 1968.

Forty Years On Description

Funded by HLF and Arts Council England, Forty Years On will archive and creatively interpret Peterborough’s rapid development as part of the New Towns Act, from the city’s changing landscape to the swelling population.

As part of this we will:
• Preserve and catalogue over 450 boxes of records from the Peterborough Development Corporation
• Explore and document the changing population through over 150 oral history interviews with local residents
• Produce two plays based on the research and stories.
• And much more…
