Went in the other day and half the tables were took up with some old records that were just lying around like anyone was supposed to be able to look at them if they want. Also they were even playing what I think is called an LP when can't they just have on minster fm/munford&sons or something? And hasn't anyone told them that coffee is supposed to cost like four pound if it's any good like nexpressos or whatever? And when I got a drink they just said I'll get that for you and thank you and never even asked what my name was or rote it on the cup so what is wrong with this place?

User

Vegan grilled cheese! Amazing atmosphere, great coffee, great music, great staff, love it

User

This is the sort of venue I would like to see replicated in other places in the UK.

A brilliantly well presented venue with rustic wooden themes and impeccable coffee, a mouthwatering vinyl collection which is as eclectic as the acts that they host- A lovely venue with attentive and colourful staff!

Whether you are going to browse for records to purchase, want a cuppa or want to witness some tasty acts Fortyfive Vinyl cafe is where you need to be!

User

These toasted cheese sandwiches are just so delicious, wow. Also good coffee, music, and general vibes.

User

The vinyl collection is amazing - took me right back to my childhood! Cheese grills are perfect. Yet to try the coffee blend but we'll do that on Saturday. A super new addition to York and one that will grow and grow! Well done guys!

User

Superb great staff wicked environment and the sound of vinyl playing with a plethora of old and new vinyl to browse through and purchase while having a cuppa and a bit to eat , what more could you ask for .

User

Re-kindled my love of a classic, the humble cheese toasty. And some of the best coffee and atmos in york. Keep up the good work guys

User

Popped in with our dog George and was made to feel very welcome on an extremely cold Sunday morning - nice coffee and sausage muffin - we will return door def 👍🏻🐶

User

Great place a little way up Micklegate (before you have to climb the hill!) Plenty of space for me to sit, eat and drink while my other half browses for records. Nice selection of drinks and yummy things, I'll definitely be back as I've heard great things about the toasties, and there's even a vegan one!

User

Good music playing (I know I know, there's only two kinds of music....) Lovely coffee and awesome toasties with optional fire. Lovely relaxed staff and vibe. I'll be back, more coffee more toasties and more music.

User

Friendly quick service, great food, good tunes. Lovely

User

Fantastic new retail cafe that provides something for everyone. Whether it be a record to add to the collection, something to display one on or a spacious, welcoming area to sit and enjoy a drink from a top quality selection and a bite to eat whatever your dietary requirements whilst browsing some classic music mags, it's all here! Impressive accessible toilet which doubles up as a baby change too.

Time to cut up the Costa card, I have a new spot.

User

Excellent food, excellent drink, excellent atmosphere. Need I say more!

User

Excellent cafe with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service - great coffee too (as well as lots of vinyl of course!). Occasional live music events add to the attraction of the place - a great venue and I hope they'll do many more!

User

Brilliant cafe !! Love it. Just happened to fall on it. Had no idea it was here. We will be back. The iced latte and brownies are fab!!!!

User

Awesome place. The staff are super friendly. The coffee is great and the grilled cheese are just superb! Such a nice atmosphere in there. Highly recommend!

User

An absolutely brilliant place! Customer service is very important to them and it shows, nothing is too much trouble. We held an event here and the owners couldn't do enough for us. We had several options for the bar, they wanted us to have the best solution that suited us. The staff on the evening were extremely attentive, discreet and helpful and our guests all commented on how lovely it was. The cafe itself is so calm and chilled, music playing in the background, great art work, lovely seating area, you can browse through the record collection and pick any to play! We really can't recommend it enough and on top of that they do the best grilled cheese in York!

User

A great little place with a cool concept excellent service and food etc.well worth a visit for your vinyl fix.
