So many people feel the way Steve and Julie do, once they start fostering. We hear often from our foster carer's that they wished they'd done it years ago. If your thinking about fostering, take that first step. 0800 077 8159.

Sara and Tammy tell us why Fostering People was the right agency for them. Find out if we're right for you too. Call us on 0800 077 8159.

This week is Family Safety week, organised by the ROSPA. They are highlighting Pedestrian Safety this year. This link to their website is very useful. With 5,838 children under the age of 15 injured in road accidents in 2017, its always worth running over the basics of road safety, especially as children reach an age of greater independence.

Happy Mother's day to all our mum's and female foster carers. Thank you very much indeed for all you do. xxx

At Fostering People, we use the PACE therapeutic model as an integral part of our support. We thought we would share this brilliant podcast that explains why children who have experienced trauma need to be parented differently, how this might show it’s self in behaviour and how to parent therapeutically.

It's great to see a piece in the press that celebrates social workers.

Today is our Employee Appreciation Day. I hope that you have a great day today. We know how importantly all of our team take their responsibilities to provide an ‘outstanding’ service to all the children who our hardworking carers look after.
Thank you for your continued commitment and dedication to supporting the work of the carers, without you none of this is possible.

Are you interested in fostering in Peterborough but don’t know what’s involved? Our fostering information evenings are really helpful. You’ll be given all the information you need and will have the opportunity to ask any questions. Come along to our information evening on: Wednesday 3rd April starting at 5:30pm:
Date: Wednesday 3rd April
Time: 5:30pm - 7:30pm
... Venue: Haycock Hotel, Wansford, Peterborough, PE8 6JA
Our fostering information evenings are very informal, they’re a simple way to find out more information about fostering, the types of children we look after and help you consider how fostering would fit into your own family and lifestyle. We can also tell you the difference between fostering with Fostering People or your local authority to help you decide which is right for you.
As an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ agency, we know how important great support is to our foster carers. We believe this starts right away with impartial advice enabling you to make a fully informed decision about fostering. After all fostering is a challenge like no other and it won’t be right for everyone. But if it’s right for you, it could be the most rewarding career you’ll have and together we can really make a difference to children’s lives.
With our information evenings, there is no need to tell us in advance that you wish to attend. Simply along and you’ll be greeted by one of our friendly team.
We look forward to seeing you there.

We recently held a fantastic day in the North East with our four legged friends. Children held a sponsored dog walk in aid of a local dog shelter and we also invited people along who are interested in Fostering to come along and join in, to talk to experienced foster carers. It was a great event which everyone enjoyed, especially the dogs.

We know that new applicants can feel nervous about the Fostering Panel. We’re delighted to see that all of our new carers felt welcomed.

Today we are celebrating International Women's Day. We think this quote by Barbara Streisand shows how much things have improved for women. But we know their is still a long way to go across the world for women and girls to have true equality.

Happy World Book Day. Do share with us any photos of your birth children in their costumes. But please remember, as much as we'd love to see them, we can't share photos of looked after children. #worldbookday
