Our Chataeu Domaine d'Astros Vin De Pays Des Maures Rosé 2017 - Originating from Provincial France, it's the crisper and more pale of our 2 Rosés. A well balanced palate, with hints of pink grapefruit. This wine would pair well with our salt and pepper squid!

Fab pub, great food, friendly atmosphere and more importantly safe and welcoming, even the doorman who does a superb job on busy nights with rowdy customers, definitely recommend the bestest Laines ale and goat cheese burger with caramelised onions

Amazing ... My retiree friend forgot to book a table of 25 but they pub and manager were accommodating and found a spot for us.... Great Nachos as well... Good music and we could hear .. Thought it was the Great Escape ... Thank you

Popped in for lunch while in Brighton. Beef Lasagne was good with salad and garlic bread. My partner had stuffed beef tomato with Cous Cous and salad garnish. Very quiet there, just a few customers. Lovely wood burning fire. Would definitely visit again when in Brighton. Staff very nice and helpful.

Kathryn helped me organise my team Christmas party for my work and it went without a hitch. The service was really well organised and the mulled wine was amazing. Would highly recommend, lovely staff and lovely pub! Thank you xxx

Hadn't been here in ages. Popped in Sunday with my bf for a roast dinner. One of the best roasts i've had in ages. Really friendly atmosphere in the pub too and the staff were super nice.

Had friends visiting for pride so took them here for fish and chips, we all got a deal on Wriggle, great!



The wait for the food wasn't too long. One of my friends went to put a bit of vinegar on her food, when the lid fell off, and the whole bottle ended up all over her food and plate. The young guy that brought the food over witnessed the whole thing, and instead of asking if she'd like to change her food, just laughed and said 'I hope you like vinegar' and walked off??



Anyway, the fish and chips was terrible, all of it absolutely swimming in grease. I'd been here for food before ages ago and it was great so I don't know if the kitchen has changed, but we all felt grim afterwards. Would pop in for a pint but never again for food.

Hate to leave a negative review as we love this pub - but I don't expect to be threatened on a casual night out with colleagues! Bouncer was on a mission to cause an argument. This score doesn't reflect the bar team - just this one bouncer with a serious complex.
