Great review left for us this morning - we're working hard to eliminate all single use plastic packaging as part of our #Mission2020 pledge, and our new Life Winter 18 Collection is completely plastic-free > https://life.fourthelement.com
"Received my order today, was amazed to find not one piece of plastic packaging; I’m very impressed! It shows how, with a little imagination and effort, retailers can have a positive impact on eliminating this scourge of plastic from our pla...net and especially our oceans. I have never written an online review before, probably never will again, however Fourth Element deserve much credit for this initiative. Ps love the gear I received as well." Peter Mayhew

The Proteus 5mm is an absolutely awesome suit. I am a full time diver and spend a considerable time in water and at depth and I can fault the Proteus 5mm. I have used suits from lots of other brands and even custom cut, none hold up like the Proteus. Awesome awesome awesome, and it even me look cool. No better suit, thanks Fourth Element.

User

Recently bought the 5mm Xenos. I was surprised and very pleased to find that Fourth Element had a suit in a different size top half to bottom half. Absolutely perfect fit. Great to dive in and kept me nice and warm. Relatively easy to get in and out of for a 5mm. A great addition to my growing Fourth Element collection of dive gear which includes Thermoclines, which are amazing, gloves and a couple of hoods all of which I love.

User

Really great customer service - I was originally sent something different to what I ordered and Fourth Element couldn't have been quicker or more helpful about sorting it out. Thrilled with my bikini, thank you.

User

Own gloves hood and the exotherm top and bottom for years really well made products 👍

User

Outstanding products about as far from ordinary as it's possible to get.

User

Only have experience with the under garments of Fourth Element , but must say nothing comparable on this planet

User

One of the best diving/clothing brands for style and quality. Great designs, friendly staff, and amazing undersuits.

User

My Fourth Element Argonaut Drysuit has to be one of the best suits I have ever owned.

I have had my suit for over 4 years and I have worn it almost every weekend and most weekdays teaching and diving. It's been the most reliable, comfortable and hard wearing suit I have ever owned and I have had many Drysuits from other manufacturers. Add to this the undergarments made by these guys are hands down the best I have ever used. Spending 4-5 hours at a time in 8-12 degree water, generally teaching and tech diving and not moving around a lot is testament to their warmth and quality.

Great job guys, keep up the great work and I can't wait to see what you bring out next!

User

Just purchased and dived the new Forth Element Core vest, what an amazing base layer, I really can't believe how warm it is, I'm now actually looking forward to the impending winter months!

User

Just got my Argonaut 2 drysuit & tried it on today. It is definitely a custom fit. Wearing my thickest undergarments, I had just enough room to get into it. It should be super streamlined. The only downside is the lead time to receive it. It is what it is. However the quality of the suit looks to be top notch. I will definitely put it through its paces with scuba instruction & technical diving. I have 2 DUI suits that are on their last legs, with 900 dives between them. Here's to a long term relationship with Fourth Element!

User

Inspiring company with great mission and quality products

User

I'm so glad that this company really cares about the environment . Thanks for supporting our efforts.

User

I'm a public safety diver and clean hulls part time. I've been a fan of the dui under garments until now. I've become a fan of the 4th element gear today I dove in 33 degree water and wasn't chilled at all. Can't say enough about the gear. Keep up the great work!

User

I work in a dive shop, in melbourne, victoria, australia.

The conditions are all over the place but one thing i can rely on when diving is Fourth Element. I dive in the 3mm semi dry proteus steamer year round and the quality os unrivalled.

A few of the other brands do not come close in under garments or protective layers.

If a new custmer walks in asking about suits or gear, we walk them straight to the Fourth Element section.

Thank you

User

I wear the Artics under garments. So far the best all around for me and the waters I dive. Temperature between 58 f degrees and 74 f degrees. Below 55 i start getting cold in 30 min time.

User

I was lucky enough to win the Bikini competition last week-after a manic few days I've finally tried it on! I love it. Can't wait to go surfing in the summer! It may even come to NYC with me next month! Thank you so much!! Such a fab product.

User

I just came back from a dive trip and used my new Xenos 3mm suit for the first time. It is fantastic. First off, it fits beautifully. It is so soft, easy to get into and out of (doing 4 dives a day makes that very important), and it is so comfortable and warm! The "dry seals" around the ankles and wrists, the cutout at the heal--so many thoughtful features--make it my new favorite wetsuit.

User

I have each of the following drysuit undergarments and love all of them:

Drybase top and bottom

J2 baselayer top and bottom

Xerotherm top and bottom

Arctic one piece

Arctic top and bottom

Xerotherm socks

User

I have been using fourth element products for a good few years now in both warmer waters and cold! I love my Drysuit and undersuit, there is no other company out there doing it better and also who really care for the environment as much as they do. If thats not enough reason they also support divers out there in their times of need raising funds to support the divers they honestly care about! great products, great company policy and a top notch customer service! good job, i am a happy diver :)

User

I have always loved my Fourth Element dry suit under garments! They were the first decent looking under suits tat still had amazing performance. I own the entire range and love to mix and match to meet my thermal needs underwater.

I also now dive the Argonaut dry suit and love it! Great look, feel, fit, function and most of all, it keeps me dry!

User

I have a Proteus wetsuit Combination. Love it. Fourth Element product is one of the other 6 well known brands I've tried over few years, and Proteus is still standing tall.

User

I first encountered Fourth Element products around the time they were introduced in Melbourne, Australia. I was motivated to buy a Fourth Element Kevlar drysuit after seeing some of the area’s most experienced divers wearing the Argonaut. When the suit arrived, the fit was superb. It boasted an extremely light weight and very little restriction of movement even with the SI TECH® neck and wrist rings installed. After only 15 dives on the suit it was like a second skin. I quietly marvel at the ease of donning and doffing each and every time I wear it, whilst receiving envious looks from those around me diving in a wetsuit or sometimes… a wet drysuit. Whenever I go off to dive in the tropics I miss the features of drysuit diving because of this suit.

To be clear, this suit is not a commercial grade product, nor is it advertised as one. It is however an excellent recreational and technical drysuit that does hold up to abuse. My suit has well over 100 hours of dive time without issue. It has been on everything from deep wreck dives to assisting on Open Water Courses where I sometimes spend over 8 hours a day in it.

I am not partial to any one brand when it comes to diving. My primary setup currently utilizes three different varieties. I select my products on the basis of three criteria in this order of importance. Quality, customer service, and cost. In addition to Fourth Element facilitating the sale of a premium, long lasting drysuit, the customer service in the area is unmatched. The regions representatives and dealers in Australasia are diligent and very keen in supporting the products. While the cost is higher than some brands, the price tag is still comparable to other manufacturers. If purchasing this suit, you won’t regret your initial investment.

While also wearing some of their neoprene wetsuits and dry wear, I see myself using Fourth Element products into the long foreseeable future.

User

I dive the Fourth Element Proteus 5mm and it has served me well both while doing recreational dives and filming underwater on set. The wetsuit holds up well and keeps me warm on dives. No other wetsuits come close to Fourth Element.

User

Great wetsuit and great customer service working with a dealer to get me a wetsuit directly in break neck speed for my holiday - a big thank you to all concerned

User

Great products

User

Got the last 7mm Proteus of the shop I'm sad that fourth element has decided that they stop with making 7mm wet suits. They are great and what to do when this suit is finished.

User

Excellent customer service, products second to none, I can't recommend them highly enough, good job!!

User

Every piece of gear i bought from fourth element is the best of his kind. Their halo 3d is really impressive in terms of comfort and thermal protection. Perfect under my trilaminate ursuit drysuit. No problem after a one hour dive test at 8deg celsius, even a bit too hot near the surface. Impressive!

User

Best undergarment warming layers around and found locally at Astoria Scuba!

User

Awesome equipments

User

Awesome company that makes excellent, well thought out equipment.

User

All my Fourth Element products have been fantastic, i've got long rash, short rash,Proteus wet suit, Xenos Shorty (blue,Wicked) 3mm gloves, 5mm gloves, i love the stuff. solid hard wearing, built to last.. just want the Argonaut now to finish the set. and an application form to become the Fourth Element catalogue model?? :)

User

website down and no response to communication, looks like you also vet what goes on your fb page as my post has been either deleted or 'not approved' as it's negative

User

Nah. Expensive and everyone I know (including myself) that has spent over $NZD3,000 for a custom new suit has had catastrophic suit failure. Sure, your repairs are free, but they take another 3 months to come. Don't recommend. Go DUI instead.

User

I recently bought a fourth element argonaut suit, working in commercial tank diving in remote locations throughout Australia I decided to pay extra money for a reliable suit that wouldn't let me down. Unfortunately in the first week of diving the suit the zip came apart breaking teeth in the process.

Fourth Element repaired the suit for free although this took 3 months before I received it back just for a zip replacement, leaving me borrowing suits in the mean time.

I was in correspondence with a fourth element representative during this time although I felt left out the loop with poor excuses.

After receiving my suit back I was disappointed to find that the suit back I sent it in was not returned.

Since I ordered this suit over 6 months ago I have only used it a handful of times which is disappointing for a suit of this price.

Altogether I felt after spending that much money on a suit it would be better quality and that the fourth element representatives would of been more helpful and friendly.

I would not recommend fourth element products anymore and feel very disappointed by the service.

User

I am working as a dive instructor and used the proteus wetsuit for the last 3 months and it is falling apart already. very disappointed, especially because I thought it belongs to the top range of wetsuits. Don't recommend !

User

Drysuit leaked after only 12 dives, returned for replacement after they advised in writing that the tape on the seams was unfit for purpose, still waiting for the suit to be returned 9 months later. Customer service is not in Fourth Elements vocabulary.

User

An absolutely terrible service. I have bought and paid for 2 different items now that have been advertised as in stock and received neither of the 2, but instead an email advising the item is out of stock.

I was buying my sister a diving related hoody for her birthday so i selected the hoody, her size was in stock and bought it. I paid for it and a few days later I received an email that said from Sandra but came from an email address named Charlotte at Fourth Element, advising me they were out of stock of the item i had already paid for. After this i decided, okay i'll get a refund and try something else. The exact same thing happened again with a new jumper. The jumper had her size in stock advertised and then they waited a few days and emailed me saying they didn't have the stock. Now well and truly missed my sister's birthday.

On top of this they have done nothing to rectify the problem. If i go to the items i ordered on the site, they are still been advertised as available in the sizes i selected before and people have the option to pay for them.
