Welcome back to Fowey to the Lord Nelson. Staying until Monday. There's been sightings of a dolphin in the harbour today too, and lots of chat about what type. If you've got a photo, please post in the comments so we can try and identify it! It's gorgeous out there on the water today 😀🌞🐬
Come down and support this great event
Welcome to the Prinsendam, our first cruise ship of the season. She's in Fowey until 8pm tonight - come down to Fowey and take a look. She has come from Guernsey and visiting the Isles of Scilly next.
Morgawr bringing in the Karen C today, looking smart with her freshly painted stripes. With good weather forecast this weekend, keep your cameras to hand and enter your photos into our photo competition for the chance to win a 2 night stay in Fowey at the Old Quay House Hotel.📸 https://www.foweyharbour.co.uk/photo-comp etition
Dead Common Dolphin on Readymoney Beach, Fowey today. Reported to the Marine Strandings team at Cornwall Wildlife Trust. Possible by-catch from fishing as tail fin appears to have been cut off. Carcass should be removed later today.

We are disappointed to announce that due to cuts in their display programme, the Red Arrows will not be coming to Fowey this year. After the hard work of restoring the Fowey display to the Red Arrows programme in 2017, to lose it now is bitterly disappointing for the Harbour Commissioners and the Fowey Community. We hope that the future programme can be adjusted year to year to allow them to fly in Fowey again. Photo credit: Paul Williams
Our tugs Cannis and Morgawr arriving back in Fowey Harbour in company this morning. They'd been in Falmouth Harbour assisting with the moving of RFA tankers. Couldn't resist a pose for a photo 😃📸

Lovely photos ...
What a gorgeous quaint little place this is. Lovely harbor with plenty of seating, bars restaurants cafes bakers Nick nack type shops and a huge castle that overlooks the bay, simply beautiful and we'll worth a visit..... enjoy.
Was there for the last night of the Regatta, it was a good night, lovely atmosphere, good band playing and the fireworks were brilliant!! But then we often go there as it is a lovely place, and we are so lucky to live so near.
The harbour is fantastic, the restaurant we ate in the food could be better however service was very good. The cod and chips was okay and £1for a dash of lime how can they justify that. Don't rob the tourist as you need then regardless of your restaurants location
Stunning place with plenty to do for all with the added bonus of an unexpected ferry trip
So much history in Fowey it requires many visits to really appreciate the Harbour and Town
We have been visiting for over 30 years and still go back when we can.
Sams is a lovely place to eat, I had the best scallops I have ever eaten there.
Nice place to browse around the shops for something a bit different.
You can catch the ferry to Polruan from Fowey, have a nice walk along the coast 6 and a half mile walk to Polperro.
You can also see where Dawn French lives near moneypenny cove.
Quaint little place with lots of places to eat and drink. Sit by the jetty and watch the world go by :)
Me and my friend decided to visit Fowey its so lovely all the narrow streets old buildings the harbour the cafes and restaurants we had a train ride around Fowey it was very informative had a cream tea in Brown sugar cafe definitely recommend a visit
Long morning trip to Fowey, came here a few years ago with the kids and Fowey is as beautiful now as it was then. Took a good long walk with our puppy and boat trip up and down the estuary. Certainly planing to return.
If you haven’t been to this amazing hotel and place......you must stay here! Staff are fab, rooms and food are fab and so very dog friendly. Xx
If you are visiting by boat this is the place to come. Year round community with some great pubs and restaurants to entertain everyone. For me it's got to be Sams for the atmosphere and cocktails.
I have been coming back to Cornwall for over 20 years now and lucky to live here for the past 3 years. Fowey is one of our favourite places to visit and when friends come to visit it is always a must to introduce them to!
I am very lucky to say I have visited this wonderful place more than a handful of times. For someone who lives in small town in the Midlands this is literally heaven on Earth - I LOVE Fowey. Indescribable beauty, in the Summer this place is thriving. Everyone is smiling, everyone just stopping still to look out at the beautiful views that are everywhere. It really cannot be described, you just have to go.
I am very fortunate that my work takes me there 3 times a week but I still go there for pleasure love just wandering around and have a drink or a cup of coffee or tea
Cornish coastal cuteness. A great day out, views, pretty cottages and cream teas in abundance. Off season is a great time to see it.
Best place in the whole wide world. Been to NYC, Venice, Krakow, various Greek islands and loads of other places but nowhere beats Fowey
Beautiful scenery and fantastic independent shops to brows around. Fowey is a must to visit if you are in the area with some great places to eat and drink. We have just been when the Fowey Regata was on at it was spectacular topped off with a display by the Red Arrows.
Beautiful little harbour with great food and stunning photo opportunities. I was lucky enough to visit on the lifeboat day and treated to a recue exercise. I've been coming to Cornwall for many years and this is a must visit every time.
We only drove through the little village as we couldn’t park anywhere but up a very high hill but it looked ok from what we did get to see
